I can't see him retiring till he gets the most win record ( also most loss) and could see him coaching another team. Think Jerrah would love him in Dallas
They'd hate each other in a matter of weeks on how to run the Cowboys. Would make for good theater.

That's a good call. He is only like 30 wins away from it. Although Andy Reid isn't far behind him, if I recall correctly, and Andy has a QB that should get him 12+ wins a year for the foreseeable future. So if BB spends the next 3-4 seasons getting the most wins, does Andy jump him in 6-7 seasons from now? Does Bill want to coach till he's 75 or older?
IMO, he will never get another 30 wins. He should retire gracefully in 2024. It’s a stupid record to be chasing. Who cares except him?

Someone like Jimmy Johnson actually had a huge impact on the game with the way he ran defense. Maybe doesn't have the track record of some of the other guys but his Miami team was one of the best college teams of all time and the Cowboys were one of the best NFL teams of all time. But after he changed the NFL, maybe the NFL caught up a bit. Maybe Belichick is in that tier of coach which is certainly still great.

If you're talking about greatest coaches, maybe the impact on the game is as much or more important than the wins. Most modern offensive football seems to have some roots with Bill Walsh. Certainly that extended coaching tree impacts the league. I don't think Belichick has that same coaching tree legacy.
was a good coach deserving of the hof,but he was a shell of his former self with the dolphins.

I still think he should be on the hot seat regardless of this excellent win today

We’ve all been harsh, because of the humiliating losses, and the news leak that he has at least 2024 guaranteed. BB showed up with a good, if not great game plan to beat the Bills. Take it at face value and enjoy.

Multi - year extension from what I heard. Patriots finally came alive offensively... Do I credit Bill, not sure if we can but he hopefully did something to spark this team. This victory SHOULD spark something

They did limit mistakes and came out of the gate punching, and did not give up. Good plays today by players, but first game this year I can say the coaches did their job. Good work.

True. However doesn't mean he should be in any less hot water than he should be in. I am glad he got his 300th win that's for sure. Though Bourne didn't want him to get it haha

Good enough for now, let’s enjoy the win and on to the Dolphins.

Who cares except him?

Has Belichick ever stated that he cares? I personally haven't seen that. It's the incessant NE sports media that keeps bringing it up.
