IMO someone else is going to be on the move.. probably coburn or carle.. my question is why the hell would homer add mez, a move thats probably going to force moving coburn or carle? my guess is his intention is to have odonnell and walker play on the 3rd pair, bart be the 7th d-man.. either that or go with the unprecidented(?) 4 pair d-corp.. dun dun DUN!!!!!

i'm not going to freak out cause homer has turned the team from a last place team into a playoff team in 1 season, cup contender/favorite in 3.. but i have no idea whats in his head right now.. obviously gags had to go for someone cheap (seeing as how we sitll only have 400k in cap space).. but i would've preferred pick(s) and/or prospects to ANOTHER d-man

Awaz, you may be right. Homer is going against the grain and we will play the season with 4 defense pairings. Keep the guys fresh all season. I never realized that Tampa had such a good defense that we should trade for all of them.

With Powe signed, I think we still have a little space, maybe about $600k. We do, however, have 24 players counting for that figure. Somebody always makes the team out of camp that we did not expect. I would have no problem with that person being Testwuide with Cote getting waived. Even at 24 players we have the cap for that move. I would think that Testwuide will probably start in the AHL and get called up during the season. You would want a young guy to play and I think most of our lines are full.
