I mentioned this on the Bears board. We're still a DE/Edge away from filling all critical needs. Now due to us being down to just 4 picks, the 9th spot could be a candidate for a trade back. However, I don't agree with you at all that we still have a lot of holes. You'll have to show me where those are aside from the DE/Edge spot I just discussed.

You can start with the positions the guys on your board are constantly complaining about, then think about building a team in terms of solid depth. I'm pretty sure most 7-10 teams don't believe they're 4 positions away from a Lombardi.

FYI...the Bears now have a total of 4 draft picks. That would be good if they had a complete team without a lot of holes, but they're not.

Something tells me they're going to be trading one of the 2 1st round picks for more picks/players.
They have done a pretty good job in FA.

So many spewing this narrative. couldn't just be that Joe wanted to go where he had a better chance to start. Or the younger Winston might be better.

I mean, they seemed to get along really well and what does Watson have to worry about...his deal is guaranteed? Fans yell for the backup in every NFL city if the starter struggles just a little. Luckily our FO does not care about irrational, emotional fans.

He doesn't have a better chance to start behind ARich. He's injury replacement only.

Ouch!...but I understand the market dynamics. $2.7M player with a guaranteed $5.45M contract and no upside.

I could still see the Rams possibly taking a shot with him. That's cheap enough for a backup QB.

36 is in his prime? And coming off an achilles? Don't get me wrong here as Kirk is a big upgrade and might win them the division but this isn't a Matt Stafford situation.

Yeah, if Cousins is in his prime, why is everyone assuming the Rams need to draft a QB? Stafford is also 36.

Stafford started earlier and couldn't even throw two years ago.

Kirk was 24 his rookie year. Stafford was 21. Kirk didn't play full time until he was 27. Stafford was 23. They aren't on the same cycle.

Stafford is also 6 months older.

Oooh, 6 months! Yeah, Stafford had an injury, but he has healed. Much less impact than an Achilles.

The answer is simple; Cousins is not in his prime.

Eh we knew some cuts were happening for the Chargers, but they'll probably snag Odunze, Bowers, or Nabers at 5 which will help tremendously. Or the Cardinals do something stupid (they're known for it) and pass on Harrison Jr.

He is in his prime. He was having an MVP type year this most recent season. Maybe you missed it.

I like the Howell trade for Seattle. He had one of the worst Olines in football, but he showed some talent out there.
--I wonder if this means that SEattle won't be drafting a QB this year
--What is the value that the Skins got for Howell? I know they got some pick swaps, but what does it all add up to? Did they get a 4th or a 5th in value?

Curl is an underrated signing for the Rams.

The Bears are certainly loaded up at WR (assuming Allen stays healthy) now with Moore and Allen. They had the cap space, might as well take a flyer on him for a 4th rounder. The Chargers...wow did they need cap space badly, but they are in a tighter spot now at WR, practically locking themselves in to take a WR in the first rd this year (they'll have a choice of some good ones).

I guess Dallas is going RB in the early rounds of the draft? They're not really gonna roll with what they have, right? ...right?

Not sure what to think of the White signing in Philly. Didn't the Bucs start phasing him out of their defense last season?

So was Brady in his prime when he was having MVP caliber seasons in 2020 and 2021 in his 40s?

That could be a great pick considering their QB situation.

Texans gonna trade the new pick for Higgins?
Good trade for both teams.

MIN gets draft capital to trade up for a QB.
HOU gets (2) 2nd round picks for their 1st, which have more value than #23 in the 1st.
