Cowboys were 195-0 all time when leading by 14 going into the 4th Quarter. Until yesterday. Let that sink in

my problem outside of just having a bad game all the way around is the Running game was working. So if the running game is working why pass it 46 times? There should be zero reasons for that. So yes. I am picking on the OC over this. I get just running & taking a defenses will isnt sexy as some highlight pass. But I dont care. It was working. We were running & moving the ball & suddenly Moore was like. Hey I know I am gonna trick them & pass it 5 times in a row (Drive dies)

While I do agree with the run/pass ratio points made here, I actually thought Moore did a pretty good job yesterday. The play calling wasn't the issue IMO. There were a couple of first half turnovers and a couple of late game penalties and we still scored 28 points. Without those we score even more. Now you can say all offensive mistakes (and especially miscommunication) are in part the OCs fault and I can't really argue against that, but it seems it's his play calling that is being questioned here. Also, I can't blame him for not running on 3rd and 4 in OT unless we know for sure that he was even told we were going to go for it on 4th down if we didn't make it on 3rd down. With how emotional McCarthy was I suspect he made that call on the fly. I also don't know why Tolbert was in the game at the end when he basically serves no purpose, but again I'm not sure why he was in there so tough to say who to shake a stick on with that one. One other point on the run/pass ratio. Pollard pulled himself out in OT because he was tired. Perhaps Moore was cognizant of the number of touches TP had with no Zeke.

I thought Davis deserved more time to relieve TP. He was good when he touched the ball. I saw no need to quit the run.

Yes TP did ask to come out. The announcers said he did the same thing the week before.

If you look at our drive chart there were really only 3 drives where we threw the ball a lot more than we ran it. Two were TD drives , with one being the TD before half in the two minute drill ( 7-1) . The other being the 17 play drive - we threw 11 times. The last drive of the game we threw 6 times to 3 runs - we were behind the chains.
We ran it 31 times. Usually if you run it 30 plus times , you win. Unfortunately GB ran it 30 plus as well.

Sorry my stats arent as clear and concise as others.

I am so over the biased officiating.. those mofos give the Packers all the breaks anytime these two teams play. This particular crew is very biased

Can’t win when your QB throws nit’s in the red zone defense can’t stop the run and you let a rookie WR score 3 TD’s.
Something has been wrong with the Defense in Dallas since the Last game in Texas Stadium when the Ravens ran all over the Cowboys. Different coaches and players yet for some reason the Boys can’t stop the run cold for any length of time. A game or 2 then some team just runs over them like a steamroller.
They better fix it quick or the rest of the year is going to be no fun.
At some point the team needs to use a 1st round pick on a DT.

Rodgers has owned Dallas and Green Bay needs a win in the worst way.
Defense should travel. Don't leave it to the refs.

Not just another game for McCarthy...hopefully his team responds.

VERY INTERESTING WEEK
B I N G O

let's wait one more week before we go off the cliff.
apenis has already forecasted as much
Doom & Gloom will most certainly be how this season ends, The Green Bay game (like the philly fans saying our season was over after 1 game)is premature.
They just might have a little bounce back left in the season

I shouldn't but I have expectations for this defense.

Some how, I'm disappointed in myself after the last quarter of a century for even posting this

Go Cowboys
YEP....premature

Parsons feels it.
Defense was bad the moment we went up 14

195-0 still falls at Prescott & Mike's feet, just wanted the supporting cast acknowledged.

Onward!

Losing brings out the worst in us a lot of times. Everyone has their opinion as they should. Im in no way trying to start something with anyone. Im just seeing a lot of blame going to McCarthy on this one. I just dont see what he did wrong to cost them the game.

I just heard it would have been a 54 yard Fg. Crosby kicked one the same way earlier and it wasnt close. Now Maher has a stronger leg than Crosby and he has been money all year. I have seen him kick touchback after touchback all year. Yesterday i think he had 1 maybe 2 out of 5 kicks. So basically he first has to make the kick. If it was sudden death , sure I might kick it. But knowing the Pack would have their chance had to weigh into this. The Pack had to win this game to save their season. After our 4rth quarter defensive showing and being down a starting CB , Im not giving the ball to Arod with a 4 down situation the rest of the game. We can play hypotheticals all we want to. Just remember Rodgers on 1st down took the knee at the 12 to set Crosby up for the GW , meaning they went straight down the field. Just my 2 cents. As much as I like Quinn , this falls on him.

Always room for optimism
I just can’t figure out the defense run game issues. Or rather the lack of not being able to stop The run
. And blowing a 14 point lead…. Damn it championship teams don’t do that. As you say Pday onward through the fog

Its crazy about our run defense. I was watching the TCU game Sat. Night. TCU has a great RB. He finally did break one , but it was tough sledding all night. Why? The Horns had two monsters about 340 apiece stuck right in the middle of their DLine.

It was more of a Team loss. Now I thought the holding call in OT was a gift for the Packers. The penalty by Tolbert was inexcusable though. All he needed to do was line up properly. Look at the marks on the field? One of the dumbest penalties I have seen.

But it did not need to come to that. Blown coverages and Daks 2 picks. cowboys had plenty of chances to put them away. The defense in the 4th Quarter was terrible.

Let's hope this loss ignites them to beat Minny Sunday. That would be a great bounce back win.

The defense should never have allowed AR to run for a first or throw a bomb td on a 4th and seven. Inexcusable. They stop them there we get the ball back up 14 in the fourth. That was the most frustrating for me.

Completely agree… and why I don’t get the play calling at the end of the OT drive. Pound the rock and if you’re going for it on 4th down (which I completely agree with) in OT then run the damn thing on 3rd down as well. If nothing else, take more time off the clock and protect a defense which was clearly struggling against the run.

Oh well… Onward!

It keeps getting longer and longer. Soon it will be a 60 Yarder.

We were on the 35. Add 7 and 10 and it’s 52. Sometimes they go back an extra yard on long FGs so 52 or 53. Maher has a much stronger leg than Crosby no doubt. Maher would never have trouble reaching on a 52 yarder on a clear day that was just a little cold. Everyone talks about him putting his foot in front of the heater but he didn’t even have a jacket on, did he? This whole thing about the heater is completely overblown. You kick the FG and make the other team go 75 yards to beat you. Did you really think we were going to convert the 4th and 4? I didn’t. 4th and 1, sure. 4th and 2, ok. 4th and 4 for our team is IMO much less likely from a % perspective than Maher kicking a 52 yarder. I’m sorry, but I just can’t accept it was anything other than a horrible decision And my utter disbelief watching us line up and hoping we were trying to draw them offsides and not actually going for it BEFORE the play was not second guessing.

I do find it interesting that he said he checked with the ref and the ref told him he was ok. Heck, even in HS kids know to point at the ref for the free check.

I watched yesterdays game of course. I watched us choke and get manhandled and lose a game no team should lose and make mental and physical mistakes. BUT, I just don’t see how Minnesota is better than us. I’m not saying we are better than them, but I’m not seeing a team there that we have no shot against.
