I there is a tie break game, lets hope it goes to OT - no shootouts and playoff rules.

/and lets hope the loser of it has a win in the bank left

(McDavid at the end of a long shift, but he had a head start, so it even out :) )

Jake has elite straight line skating speed but nobody can do crossovers like McDavid.

Yeah, Vigneault might get a look from another team this off-season. He's a solid coach but it was time for him to be let go with the Rangers.

There's been a lot of "the playoff format is making good teams play each other too early" talk today, especially from Toronto media, so here's what the first round would look like under the old format:

(1) TB vs. (8) NJ
(2) Washington vs. (7) Columbus
(3) Boston vs. (6) Philly
(4) Toronto vs. (5) Pittsburgh

(1) Nashville vs. (8) Colorado
(2) Vegas vs. (7) LA
(3) Winnipeg vs. (6) SJ
(4) Minny vs. (5) Anaheim

Not sure how that's easier for any team than their current series. Maybe Boston gets it easier with Philly but that's about it.

I'm surprised that TO media would be saying that. I don't think anyone would want Pitt in the first round at all. The Jackets sat an all star team so they would lose the last game and not have to face them.

Boston is gonna be a hard series, no doubt. But Pittsburgh just has about 300 ways they can kill you. And for 287 of them, you don't see it coming.

The parity in this league is unreal. Every team, when they execute, has a shot to advance. 4 of the 5 metro teams are covered by 3 points. Insane.
