still want LB and safety addressed early but if somehow Vita Vea is there, I'd go that route unless Roquan Smith is reachable. Love the Bosie St LB, Vander and still think Ronnie Harrison is a player.

Wonder when Anthony Miller goes off the board?

may have to package a 4th to move up in the 2nd or 3rd round
As of right now those are probably the two I am hoping for the most that I think we have a decent shot at.

what sounds more feasible for the Cowboys would be:
19. Vita Vea or Da'Ron Payne DL1T
50. Rashaad Evans LB
81. Quin Blanding FS
116. Rashaad Penny RB
I could live with that too
but Vea and Leighton Vander are both freaks at their respective positions and would be outstanding

I'm wondering when and what type of safety we pull from the draft. I used to gravitate toward ball skill and roaming capability. The more I watch this team evolve, we don't have a tone setter. Typically you need both types to make it work, one thumper and one ball hawk. We've been settling with neither.

OK, one of us is way off because he is one of the guys I consider at #19. If he is there at #50 I run up with my pants around my ankles and wagging my penis at Goodell as I hand in the card with his name on it...
well I could be wrong but I think he will slip into the 2nd and may be there when the cowboys pick. but seeing Goddell's face if you did that would be fantastic

I'm not so much sure about that with Woods. I've read the learning curve was too great last year but he made plays in the nickel & dime packages as the year went on. I'm excited to see him this year with a full offseason under his belt.

No way in Hell vans is there at 50. It would be a tough call between Evans/LVE at 19 or Vea/Payne. I would almost lean DL because there are some solid LB prospects like Josey Jewell who could be had in the 2nd or 3rd round. I saw where one scout actually called Jewell a young Sean Lee. I could live with that

I know most disagree with my order other than Vea, but I probably go Vea, Payne, Evans and then Vander Esch. Something I really like about Evans.

I'm all for defense but if Washington is there in the second I think we should take him.

I would pay good money to see anyone pee on him or even mimicking OBJ's dog pee celebration on RG draft night.

Really hope to have one half of the safety tandem in place. Defenitely need a football-smart thumper on the field. Even with the rules in place, there is still such a thing as intimidation over the middle.

If Rico Gathers isn't the future, we need a replacement for Witten. A big pass catching TE like that dude from Patriots.

Seems more and more they may be looking hard at WR at #19. Worries me if they are zoned in on a position and not the best players. That's how bad drafts are built. I'm not one for giving away prime picks, but I'd rather see them take the best player to fall to 19 and then use other picks to trade up and get a WR in the early 2nd, unless of course they see a WR as the best player...but when you visit all of them it seems unlikely that is the case...

A big pass catching TE....that sure seemed to be Gathers last preseason, the real problem is picking up what the defense is doing. I understood last year he'd leave the huddle knowing his guy to block, then the defense shifts and he hadn't a clue. That's a huge problem and makes him a liability in the NFL if not corrected. This should be one of the more interesting developments or lack of this offseason.

We cant go wrong with any of those players. Just hope jerry does not try anything cute lol. He still worries the hell out of me. Not as bad as before, but still...

Vander Esch really has climbed the boards. if we want him or Evans then yeah it will have to be at 19. I like both of these two over roquan smith. Vander Esch would be a major upgrade over Hitchens.

I am climbing aboard the Vander esch hype train. The kid is going to be a difference maker. Imagine Lee and him being a royal pain for opposing offenses? Throw in jaylon whom was coming on and those 3 on the field would be interesting. Now of course the Cowboys have never used a 1st round pick on a 4-3 linebacker since jerruh took over the team. .honestly will be surprise if he is there at 19. He has a unique skill set and will quickly become an elite play maker.
