You over pimped him the whole time. Never stopped.

Well that's a lie. Guess you missed the part where I already told you I think daBears should get rid of him.

But ignore that so you can continue your nonsense.

Oh good deal. Not a USC or OK fan so really didn't see him much in college. Pretty sure he started his career as a Sooner.

He did, and he was the #1 QB prospect coming out of high school. The hype has been there all along really. He took over midseason in OKL, pushing Rattler out of the starting job (and into the transfer portal ultimately to South Carolina). Caleb followed his head coach to USC the following year.

Appears they cherry picked their numbers a bit... Lamar includes a game was injured and played 1 series... exclude that game and last 4 "full games" from 2022 here is comparison.

Justin Fields (13 games 2023, last 7 games 2022)
- Passing 3,605
- Rushing 1,376
- Total TDs 35 (26 passing, 9 rushing)

Lamar Jackson (16 games 2023, last 4 full games 2022)
- Passing 4,516
- Rushing 1,066
- Total TDs 34 (28 passing, 6 rushing)

You're a clown. If you knew anything about the NFL you'd know the Bears have been a mess for a while.

Fields isn't Chicago's only problem.

But keep pretending when they get rid of JF daBears will have a winning season in '24.

You're always a fool.

Good deal. Hopefully he'll be the QB daBears have been looking for.

Oh wait am I allowed to say that? Because that dumbass eaglesnut keeps insisting I'm somehow defending Fields even though I said Chicago should get rid of him.

If they replaced him with Kirk Cousins or Joe Flacco they would be winners because they can play defense.

Yep daBears defense was so good last season they gave up the most points per game (27.2) according to stat-muse-.com.

Do you want NC quarterback take 2? Replace Howell with his college replacement? Or do you prefer Daniels? Good arguments for either.

I personally think Washington should at least inquire about trading up to 1.

What about JF's 2nd half numbers?

Oh yeah those don't count. You choose to ignore them.

The best thing Chicago can do at this point is move on from him.

Only if they draft a better replacement of course. If they're going to pass on Caleb, keep Fields and trade down.

He's being drafted out of a pro style system at USC after playing as a freshman in Oklahoma (and chasing Rattler out of OK).

None of those others were the prospect that Caleb is perceived to be. At this time last year, everyone was busy downgrading Stroud. How did that work out for Houston (and Carolina)?

You are absolutley correct sir......

Not sure who the naysayers were on this board last season, but they are in tjis thread and should never give thoughts on qbs again.....

No one,but no one knows the future of these college kids......

You trust what you can see, your scouts and go from there.....

Yeah, he's got good players around him. All they really need is a Quarterback.

You are looking at 2022 season (27.2)... for 2023 avg points is 22.3

Actually 2nd half of season Bears had one of the best defenses points allowed, gave up over 20 points only 1 time.

Not the strongest of schedules, but still stout. Adding a real threat at Edge made a sizable impact.

First 9 games they played 3 playoff teams and 1 team in top 10 offensive scoring... last 8 games they played 4 playoff teams and 3 games vs top 10 offensive scoring.

Probably more about Sweat trade and other improvements than the schedule.

I hope Washington trades up for him with 2 1sts, so we get the top pick again next year. Washington is a dumpster fire at the moment and blowing their load on Caleb Williams (or any qb) will not help them next year.
