Additionally, Florida as a program has fallen off and that can be seen in their development of players, especially on the offensive side of the ball. I would imagine he’s getting better coaching and a better overall path of development in the NFL. I’m doubling down on what I said earlier. AR is a prospect where so many variables need to fall right for his success. I also believe that if all those boxes are checked:
1. Patience
2. Quality of people developing him
3. AR’s work ethic, love of the sport, commitment to working his craft

I think when all is said and done he could be the best in the draft at his position. I can’t see anyway Stroud Young or Levis become a top 5 QB in the league but I see a small chance of that with AR. The other side of that coin is that AR also has the highest bust potential in that group (depending upon how a person sees Levis).
His ceiling is multiple MVPs his floor gets everyone involved in drafting him fired.

But greatness comes from taking risk but knowing you have the stuff to mitigate that risk. My father in law has this story about a long beam on 30 story skyscraper construction project with a bag at the end with a million dollars on it. Most of us wouldn’t even attempt it. But the guy who works on those beams for a living isn’t going to hesitate in going for it because he has that experience and training to operate in that environment. If a front office knows they have the stop gap in place (Goff) and the people who can develop a QB from reading defenses to mechanics it’s a risk worth taking.

He's going to be VERY interesting to see how he pans out.

Can I just say how weird it is the Lions are viewed as a good spot for a project? My entire life Detroit is where careers went to die.

Seeing one mock with Richardson to Tennessee. That's a perfect scenario. Tanny has one more year and he can sit and learn.

Campbell is just a football guy. I love the direction he has them taking.

Who ever drafts Richarson should throw eleventy billion dollars at who coached up Hurts. I am aware a large part has been Hurts work ethic. But God damn his yearly leap is more improvement than most see in their career.

Indeed. But most skydivers usually have parachutes when they jump out.

My prayer is that Levis or AR are still available at 10 when the Eagles pick. Titans pick 11 and are thinking QB. Would love to see somebody in the 17-21 range with a willingness to trade up in exchange for a 2024 1st and a mid round 2023 pick. That only comes if there is a QB still available. The problem is that Chicago could see the same opportunity at 9.

It’s the same group that worked with Brady in fine tuning his footwork and mechanics. The group is actually a few guys who are former MLB relievers. They’ve tapped into lower body mechanics from pitching translating to accuracy and arm strength at the QB position. Not sure how it works but it does. I believe Hurts and Brady’s guy is Tom House.

I could see it but they can trade down and still nab him or my guy Branch at Alabama the safety.

The problem for my desires though lie in the Eagles not looking at RB or S as premium positions worthy of spending a 1st. Maybe this year they divert from the plan for a special player.

I’m done now. I’m hijacking an AR thread.

I started it, but also allow it with my lack of authority.

Tom Brady
He actually performed very well in his time at Michigan. I love using Brady to fuck with Michigan fans. They clamored to play the younger Drew Henson over Tom Brady when they were both at Michigan. I love telling Michigan fans that they clamored for a failed AAA 3B prospect to play QB over the GOAT.
