Leafs are likely playing Boston at this point. The Sens are an injury away from Melnyk playing top 4 blue line minutes.

Leafs swept the season series with the B's but I still would much rather get Ottawa in the first round, even if they were 100% healthy.

The hockey gods are cruel, and there is no doubt in my mind it will be Boston-Toronto. I will probably need psychiatric care and a couple of emergency visits to the ER just to get through that one.

Out West, I wonder if the Sharks have stopped the bleeding. If so, the Flames may be facing the Hawks in Round 1. That would be a tough matchup for them.

I think I'd rather face the Hawks than the Ducks - Either way, it will be tough for the Flames to advance to riund 2.

No doubt. He had about a coffee can's worth of space to shoot at and he hit it. Full marks.

But he should have never gotten to the spot to make that shot.

If I were a Jackets fan, I'd have been more upset on the D on Oshie's goal. Way over committed on the slide

Too many mistakes in last night's game (Bartkowski was directly responsible for the 3rd Ducks goal and partially responsible for the GWG). Some bad defensive coverage as well (Elliott made about 3 or 4 ten-bell saves or it would have been a blowout).

I think Chicago's gonna steamroll the west. Unless Dubnyk totally switches it on in the playoffs I don't think anybody is capable of slowing them down.

It's actually really impressive how terrible Colorado is.

It was about six weeks ago or so that the HNIC panel were discussing Colorado and Patty Wah's abrupt departure prior to the start of training camp and it's like they were praising Roy for having the foresight to see that the Avs was in trouble. I guess I look at it the other way (and it's something that Wah has done all his life and that's look out for the best interests of Patrick Roy) and he skulked away like a thief in the night.

I was pretty furious with the effort in general, right up until Werenski hobbled off and they decided "hey! the game has started!".

Jack Johnson's "play"on the third goal was pretty special too.
