Why are so many people tripping about arbitration numbers? You think a team is insulting a player by making low-ball arb asks? Wait until they get in the room and play a 2 hour video of Every. Single. Fuckup. that player made last season and commentate it with "Player X who makes approximately what your client is asking for never fucks up like this".

Remember when Subban and the Habs went to arbitration and PK left all sullen and upset and saying how "it was a learning experience"? 24 hours later he had an 8 year deal and was the third highest paid player in the NHL (AAV).

It's a business. One goes low, the other goes high, eventually everybody plays hockey and moves on.

A forward, a defenseman and a goalie were sitting around a campfire.

The forward says: "In junior, I scored 87 goals and added 126 apples. Those were the days"
The D man says: "That's nothing. I had 200 hits and 304 PIMs and was a +31. You forwards always bragging and don't do nothing."

that sounds like the QJMHL

It's a fan vote so yeah take it with a huge grain of salt. That said, Moneyhands came in the league the same year as Barkov, I know goals/points aren't everything, but he's crushing him in those categories. Getzlaf is a shell of the player he used to be, as for Zibanejad and Beagle, well it's just funny to see those names haha.

If I had to pick ten right now, I think it would go McDavid, Crosby, Bergeron, Malkin, Tavares, Mackinnon, Backstrom, Kopitar, Stamkos, Seguin.

Matthews, Barkov, Kuzy, Monahan and Eichel would battle it out for the next 5 spots.

That's inside the Air Canada Center. Or whatever they call it now.

Toronto has this recent problem were all of our infrastructure is dated as hell and anytime we get even a remote bit of excess rain the power system fails and streets flood and trees fall everywhere and you can't drive on the DVP for two days because the lower Don overflows if you spit in it and they won't have the river diversion done for 10 or 20 years depending on how long the 5 year project is delayed.

But yesterday it seems like every roof in the city decided to open. ACC is above, here's Skydome:

City hall:

The Royal York (was totally renovated only a couple of years ago):

It was like every roof in the city failed at once.

Also, a basement elevator flooded and almost drowned two people:

I mean, they needed marine units to help people in cars on flooded streets:

Infrastructure matters.

How does "Wednesday Night Hockey" differ from hockey on a Wednesday night?

/Glad they dumped the Wednesday Night Rivalry garbage.
It's just continuing the US tradition of pilfering Canadian program names. CBC's Hockey Night in Canada now contends with NBC's Football Night in America and now TSN's Wednesday Night Hockey (RIP) is now NBC's Wednesday Night Hockey. Both had Pierre McGuire.

Well played Canada.
