Those Leafs jerseys were terrible. As to the outdoor game I think the novelty of those games have past.

It's $1.5M per year I think. They can afford it though now that they've got Yashin off the books!!

yeah, I meant to put the per year in there but screwed it up (per my usual). damn, the guy will make more in a year NOT to do something than I will over the ten year period he will get paid to keep NOT doing it....once again, I'm left questioning my life's decisions

lol - That would be Mikael Backlund, who played a good game last night up until that OT moment. Sigh, Mike Smith went down with an injury about three weeks ago and took the Flames playoff hopes down with him. That said, Flames need to get rid of this coaching staff.

Forgot to add above, if Johnny Hockey can hit the friggin net on a 2-on-0 breakaway (I mean, come on, it's Tristan effin Jarry between the pipes), the Schultz goal doesn't happen.

Are we sure Smith isn't just trying to milk it for a penalty? Maybe someone should inquire. :spy:

Gilbertson and his crew definitely need to go though.

Also, there's something off with this current mix of players, supposedly the Flames have a bumper crop of defense prospects in the system, I think it's time to trade a defenseman for some help in the top 6 forwards (preferably a right winger who can score).

This feels familiar.

NHL Network is hyping the Thursday game between Philly and Boston. They are billing it as Jake Voracek and the Flyers vs Rick Nash and the Bruins.

That was fast. Rick Nash; the face of the Bruins.

And could you imagine a team with both those guys on it? Damn that would be awesome!

A Brian Burke team is poorly constructed?

Quick, someone get Mike Komisarek!

Yeah, Calgary's been a bit off as of late. Far from being the Pacific champs that I was predicting for them this year.

Could be too little too late, but it's a step in the right direction.
