WR - If we stay at 7 and if Chase is their he's still my guy(Smith would be okay too no to Waddle) at this point and we need a lot of help and want 2 receivers in the draft.

So upon further review

Waddle is a god :hail::hail: and has passed Chase as the #1 receiver in this class for me

I'd be okay with Waddle, Chase, Bateman, or Smith at 7

@Stomp is onto something here.

The better take on his highlights is vs Bama, imo.

He struggles at times versus the run and shedding blocks but you can clearly see he has the ability to speed rush and drop into the boundary for coverage.

He's improved his burst off LOS from 2019. He still relies on his speed as a whole. He looked stiff in his lower body in 2019. I'm not seeing that in 2020 season. Beating Bama LT Leatherwood isn't exactly a compliment as he has struggled with speed rushers whether it's inside or outside speed.

If Detroit Lions took LSU's Ja'Marr Chase, it would be 'home run pick' (freep.com)

The Lions have the seventh pick in April's draft, and three receivers — LSU's Ja'Marr Chase and the Alabama duo of Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith — have emerged as potential top-10 picks.

"All three of those guys would be good options for Detroit," Jeremiah said in a video conference Tuesday. "I don’t think they can make a wrong pick there."

"I think a lot of times when you’re watching receivers, you seek guys that can win with separation and quickness, and you see guys that can win with physicality and kind of contested catches," Jeremiah said. "And when you watch him at LSU in 2019, you see examples of both, where he can separate from people off the line of scrimmage, he can separate at the top of his route. He plays big to go up and get the football, and then after the catch he gives you that strength and physicality to break tackles. He’s to me the best receiver in the draft. I can’t imagine he would be there, but man, that would be a home run pick for the Lions if he was."

BB_72: my noggin' noddin' yes.

I doubt he makes it past Cincy (reunited is the song choice here)

Yeah he would be good value if we traded back and a pass rusher is a big need and our other big needs WR and right side Oline are both deep this year

I'd be happy with him or Alijah Vera-Tucker at pick 7. I think either of those guys would be a big upgrade at RT with RG versatility. LZ who I trust as an evaluator has Slater above Sewell as a prospect.

I also really like the kid out of Tulane, Patrick Johnson - maybe 3rd round - latest early on in 4th round.

I'd be all good towards upgrading Crosby with either of them.

just in case last year was a fluke for him.

2021 NFL Draft: Pro Day schedule & results tracker | College Football | PFF

Northwestern

T Rashawn Slater

Height: 6'4″ (OT: 13th percentile, G: 51st percentile)
Weight: 304 (OT: 18th, G: 23rd)
Arm: 33″ (OT: 13th, G: 37th)
Bench: 33 reps (OT: 96th, G: 90th)
40-yard: 4.88 (OT: 97th, G: 98th)
3-cone: 7.48 (OT: 83rd, G: 87th)

The size and arm length were as expected, and they do Slater no favors when it comes to his projection at tackle at the next level. However, he did verify his status as an athletic freak.

One of the most technically advanced prospects we have seen at the position, he pairs those outstanding testing numbers with outstanding collegiate production. In his last year at Northwestern, Slater posted a 90.0 PFF grade and allowed just five pressures in 11 games in his final collegiate season. Teams should be at peace with Slater’s size after this pro day. He is going to hold up at tackle in the NFL.
