Hard to argue against that but Richard Pryor was pretty good...

Oh man, he was funny as hell but I give an advantage to George Carlin for range and sheer talent. Watching him was mindblowing and surely he did it with less cocaine than Pryor.

Why isn't Dane Cook listed?

Steven Wright is one of my favorites of all time... But you cant go wrong with Richard Pryor or George carlin... Was never a sam kenison fan...

i love your list, i just dont see dave chappelle to be as traditional Stand up comedian as others... He was more of an actor than a stand up comedian... so he was off my list... Gregg Giraldo i forgot about... He probably should be on my list...

I find him remotely funny but not top 10. Chappelle has very funny standup. Very funny.
