What's wrong??
Nothing clever or witty top reply.

Dude, it's simple....
Not sure why you can't grasp it but you come on the Steelers page and give your opinions, which is fine.
But when someone doesn't agree with your opinion, that's no fuckin reason to belittle and disrespect them. As you continue to do. Hell I've even had a conversation or two with you....WHEN YOU DON'T ACT ALL HOLIER THAN THOU.
If your not willing to take others opinions into consideration, then WTF is the point of posting.

You think you're right, keep it to yourself and fuck off.
You want to share your thoughts and opinions, AND be open to others thoughts and opinions.....Awesome.

Learn it, love it, live it!!!!

Whatever you say man.

2018 NFL Draft: Steelers seven-round mock draft update

I believe we might need to prepare for the future, which means life without Ben and Bell. Is this the draft we get Ben's replacement? If so, what position to we "slight" in order to get a QB? I don't think we find our future QB in the 3rd or 4th round. I still would like to think Dobbs will be given a chance at the starting spot but it seems like the FO is very infatuated with Landry Jones. Because of the situation with Bell, does RB now become a main priority? With the signing of Morgan Burnett, does the Safety position become less of a need now and we are now focusing on RB and LB?

What's that, you don't like getting trolled like you troll others......

See, I had you pegged long ago and I'll tell you how......
First that lame ass signature you used, respect me and I'll respect you.....is that some form of validation for yourself?? Because old school, respect is earned, not given. And the fact that you needed to put you want respect, told me right up front what a narcissistic prick you are. Now for your custom title you tell everyone you have an unpopular opinion, again trying to validate yourself. So beings the narcissist you are, you make your opinion unpopular.
Hey, that's great, you do you.....See how you like being disrespected Pony Boy.

IMO Bell will be gone before Ben so we can get a QB next year. I don't see Dobbs or Jones as the future starting QB just career backups but Dobbs still has a chance to grow. We've seen Jones' ceiling, low as it is. I think with the FA signings S and ILB aren't glaring needs but still needs. I like this mock with the exception of the TE pick. I think the TE room is full enough unless you can get an elite pass catcher to help draw attention from AB and JuJu. That said, they seem to be interviewing a lot of TEs so that position appears to be on their radar. But picking one that appears to be a clone of Jessie James like the KU TE seems unlikely to me.

I think the TE scouting has a lot to do with this being Jesse James' final year under contract. Basically its telling us that they do not plan on resigning James after this season. Sucks for him, his legacy will basically be remembered as a single controversial call that screwed them over in the postseason. Hopefully he catches on elsewhere or else he will carry that mark of shame for the rest of his life. Even though we all know he got screwed and the NFL admitted so, but still. Can you imagine living the rest of your life having to have that same exact convo with every fan that recognizes you? Brutal.

I hate to think this, but this might be the last year with Ben AND Bell. Another thought in my head is, does AB leave if Ben and Bell aren't around?

I think Jesse James should get another contract, I like his play. He always tries to stretch it out, but that might be to a fault as well sometimes. I think we should resign James but I do think a TE might want to be a priority next year because I don't believe Vance and Grimble are long-term Steelers. Maybe draft another one this year because the FA list for next year doesn't look too good. I don't think a TE should be our 1st or 2nd draft pick.

My wants go like this right now: LB, Safety, RB. If there is a question about Ben coming back next year and we are not confident with Dobbs or Jones, QB might want to be the next positional need.

I would under no circumstances draft Ben's replacement this year. Well, I guess if Darnold fell to their pick maybe. But that isn't going to happen so I have no interest in talking about it. Ben has indicated that he will play a few more years. That's a lifetime in the NFL and I wouldn't be surprised to see him play 4-5 more years to be honest if his health permits it.

Yeah, he could about face and screw the team. He could get injured and call it a career. But you can't plan for everything and right now we have one of the best QB's in the game telling us he isn't going anywhere. Believe him and put pieces around him.

I think there is a good chance the Steelers try to draft Bell's replacement this year in the first two rounds. Guice could fall to their pick in the first and I wouldn't be shocked at them taking him if available. I think it's likely they use a 2nd on an RB though if that doesn't happen. Not sure how I feel about it but just seems like something this Steeler FO would do.

Amen. Would be interested in Josh Allen too. But neither he nor Darnold are going to fall very far.

I want to like Josh Allen. There's something "Ben" about him. But stuff like this...

Josh Allen’s red flag is the obvious: His stats stink

FootballOutsiders.com uses a system for projecting how college quarterbacks will play in the NFL called Quarterback-Adjusted-Stats-and-Experience, or QBASE. In that system, Allen is the only player among this year’s top quarterback prospects who comes out with a negative score. The combination of only starting two years in college and only completing 56 percent of his passes is a bad omen.

Going back to 1997, there have been 27 quarterbacks chosen in the Top 100 picks despite having a negative score on the QBASE system. Not a single one of those 27 quarterbacks has turned out to be a Pro Bowler. Among the first round picks is an ugly group that includes Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman, Kyle Boller, Rex Grossman, J.P. Losman, and Patrick Ramsey.

Not good company. Coincidence? Maybe.

Not having really seen the kid play, I can't read too much into the stats alone and draw a conclusion on him as a pro, but the real key imo is the draft position and your short term expectations for him.

In PIT, he's not likely to start until the '20 season if Ben plays out his current deal. Not trying to draw a comparison only a statement...Mike Vick was not a tremendously accurate QB in college and that kinda followed him to the NFL...but Mike 2.0 in PHI was a fairly accurate QB for a season under Marty Morningweg...then his body started breaking down and he was no longer starter material.

The point here is if a QB really works on it, they can improve their accuracy to some degree. So if that's his largest drawback and you're picking at the bottom of the 1st round there's a good chance your 1st rd pick might not start in yr one anyway....Saints, Steelers, Patriots...all teams that should have some interest in him.

I can imagine that being awful to live out. How long is McDonald's contract??? If both contracts are up after this year then they need to draft a TE this year and maybe next too.

I don't think Ben would screw the team but a major injury could and should change things. I think they need to upgrade the backup QB position in this draft. We've seen Jones' ceiling and Dobbs is still a major project. They need someone who can step in case of a 4-6 week injury and win games. Right now I don't think either Jones or Dobbs could get the job done for that long.

Unless something major changes in Bell's contract situation it's gonna happen next year.

JJ will get another contract but it looks like it won't be with the Steelers. The problem I think is that while he's a good blocker he's not a dynamic pass catcher and they may want to upgrade to a dynamic pass catcher while Ben is still playing.

I think more than anything the FA signing have freed up taking a need at 28 especially....if TE is truly the BPA on the board at that time. McDonald...due to his health history in SF and his short stint in PIT, health and available status are his biggest critics right now.

James...I think they have known for some time that he's just a guy. Grimble...is more or less just a roster spot so the TE room could quickly be thinned out if there is a talent on the board better than those two for sure.

QB at 28 is a hard choice, but if a Rudolph is there...you would expect teams like PIT, NO, NE to be interested so yes I would be interested.

QB would not be real high on my board, but I would draft one at 28 before I do what KC did and trade up to draft a QB next year or whatever.

Vance signed a 5yr contract last year so he is UC through 2021.

AB...I think he has a restructured contract...because of that, he'll be in PIT thru the '20 season at least...the dead money hit drops to $7 mil after the '20 season.

Ben...I kinda believe he will play out his contract ('19 season is the last yr on his deal)

TE...if there was a difference maker at the position on the board at 28 I would take him. McD is under contract thru the '20 season, but he has zero dead money so as a $5 mil cap hit next year he's cut bait if they have a rookie contract player ready to take over in '19 or if he's good enough, take over this season and release McD.

My thing in general on the 28th pick...I don't think this player will start unless there is a major injury. I agree with you on LB, but imo there are only 2 guys that could be on the board...LVE and Evans...I would take them over say Mark Andrews...TE from OU, but if both of those LBs are gone I have to move off the LB position.

I just generally don't like those "late first" QBs. Usually if they are good enough to warrant a first pick they go HIGH. If they don't go high you might as well take a flyer late. Seems just as likely to me to hit on a fifth round QB as a late first. That's all just an impression I have though. No data to back it up.
