Yep Shopson. Many of the proposed HC replacements are disappearing quickly as they either want nothing to do with the shitshow in LA or they are taking other offers because they don't any part of the shitshow in LA. Byron Scott made the dumb suggestion that he thinks James should be the next HC. LOL!! We have seen what James can do as the defacto GM and people think he'd be a good HC. LOL!!!

Many? That's one. I guess you could count Kidd and Lue, but they both had one year left on their current contracts anyway.

Lakers haven't even started interviews yet. The Hornets have a link to Lee (he worked with their GM in a previous role).

Byron showing his level of current NBA knowledge. Player/coaches aren't currently legal.

The GM failures are Pelinka's, not Lebron's.

With Lee to Charlotte I really hope it isn't JJ Redick.

They told Bron at the trade deadline no to making a trade and they were waiting till the offseason. I hope they don't just bring in Redick to pacify him.

Lue is under contract with the Clips and is going to get extended. Kidd has already signed his extension. Budenholzer is leaning toward retirement, Redick is leaning toward staying in his podcast with James and these guys, Denver’s David Adelman, Minnesota’s Micah Nori, Boston’s Charles Lee and Dallas’ Sean Sweeney are still active in playoffs and several have already stated privately that they are not interested.

Has to be somebody with experience.

Even if it means giving them the control they need/want.

Is it 6 or 7 coaches since Phil left? I can't even remember.

Nobody knows which direction the Lakers are going because there is speculation they are waiting until more of the possibilities are free for interviews when teams get eliminated. We shall see how this unfolds though.

My wife and I are here at the hospital. Gonna be vague too.

Not much of a praying sort but would appreciate any prayers or positive vibes our way.

Thanks.

Of course with all the speculative talk about the next Lakers HC, all of those anticipated summer trade scenarios and the associated speculation is beginning to ramp up. The Trae Young talk is dying a bit because the dude doesn't play much D and the Hawks want too much. The Lakers would be better served to stay with the draft to find their next Trae Young.

However, the three principals that are repeatedly mentioned for the out-the-door treatment are: DRuss, Vincent, and Vanderbilt. All three are going to go at some point for the obvious reasons especially DRuss. Vanderbilt may survive but aside from DRuss, the other two can't stay healthy and when they are healthy are useless!! Reaves appears to be a stay for now.

Here is another scenario emerging!

Please no to Bud. Let's not replace a guy that couldn't make in-game adjustments with yet another guy that was exactly that as well.

If Stotts is all in (he did quickly bail last season and has basically been out of the league for 3 years now), he is the best "proven" option IMO. Maybe Atkinson?

I lean towards the other options though (Nori, Adelman, Cassell, Redick etc), as long as they have experience on their staff.

Coach Bud has a title and led Atlanta and Milwaukee both to 60 win seasons.

Not sure he is exactly the same as Ham.

LOL.

LOL.

That title saved his job that year, as he was heavily criticized. That 60 win season with Atlanta (after which he added PBO to his title) plunged to 48 the following year and fell further each year. Picking highlights doesn't give the whole picture.

Ham made the conference finals in his first year. Does that accurately describe his Lakers tenure?
