The man that owns the team should be aware of what is happening ... we don't want an owner who makes a bad pick like Haskins. The owner should know what is going on though. If nothing happens of significance, it means a few things to me.
1. Rivera still had full control.
2. Ownership is not going to interfere and will let this regime ride out.
I cannot blame Rivera if he does nothing. It makes sense. I would do the same if I was him.
I also am at odds with myself over ownership involvement. On one hand, I personally believe the season is over and was always a transition year. Ownership should be looking to build the future and prepare accordingly for 2024. They should not care what Rivera thinks and step in if they please.
That being said, I don't like owners who want to be involved in every detail of the team and play fantasy football.
If i had to pick a lane, I would have harris step in this one time given the current situation and the poor front office currently in place.
Fifth rounder
To the chagrin of my favorite poster
Here’s the good news. Unlike the last regime, harris recognizes a rebuild is needed And is preparing his arsenal. This is going to be a very attractive franchise for any GM candidate.
He might be auditioning for the GM role OR
Not sure. I do know one thing, Ron Rivera, Martin Mayhew and Marty Hurney were essentially fired today. He might be auditioning for the GM role OR
He is the GM.
