Yep and Lucroy did a good job by looking back Marte before throwing. If Marte had a better break that would have been an easy run.

If Marte gets a bit off the bag, keeps Lucroy's attention, maybe we have second and third.

Yeah totally agree. Their offense is built for that park and with Braun all season that will give them a boost.

cutch isn't producing any runs.
each game he seems to be coming up in key situations with some runners in scoring position or on 3rd and less than 2 outs but not producing. in fact he is either striking out or going down weekly. pop out to catcher. we need just a little fly to the OF for marte or a medium slow grounder to avoid DP.

with alvarez coming up, unless it is a clear run, we let him bat with runners on.

Cutch will find it. Every player goes through rough stretches, but Cutch is too good to stay stuck in this one for long.

i agree about cutch but he always appears to be a slow starter then starts to heat up 5/1.

too bad, because he could have given us at least 2 more wind with key AB's late in games that were fairly easy run producing situations.

looks like all 5 teams have some pitching and some hitting.
we seem to be the weakest hitting team with cincy.

Sanchez isn't ready defensively. That's the second ball he's thrown into the outfield. And he's not been very good at blocking pitches, either.

he has been fair blocking pitches, bt he actually seems to be poor at catching.
either that or he gets crossed up because a lot of pitches hit his glove and he drops or looks very awkward.
both throwing errors were sidearm throws.
he has to come over the top or this will be a nightmare.

when i first heard the error today, i figured it was a terrible pitch and he had to race far from the plate and make a hurried throw, but after seeing the replay, that is downright sad.

I thought a new season would make my series threads more successful, but clearly that is not the case. Someone else should make the next one.
