Milwaukee sits atop the NL Central right now at 7-2, and while it's early in the season, this series could prove important. With Pedro on a bit of a home run hitting binge, Miller Park could be a very tough place to contain him. Hopefully, the rest of the offense shows up, and we find a way to limit the Brewers' bats at the same time.

Liriano vs. Peralta
Volquez vs. Gallardo
Morton vs. Lohse

Unfortunately, we have been quite terrible against two of those pitchers historically. Let's break that trend!

Go Bucs!

One inning after Morris got no calls on the outside corner, Pedro gets wrung up on a pitch off the outside corner. It was really close, but the umpire has to be consistent.

Well, I'm around, but I noticed the Brewers board was dead as well.

Overall, that was a pretty well-pitched game between them today. There were only 10 combined hits between the two teams that both have pretty good offenses going for them so far.

I'm happy to see the Brewers come away with this one, because I felt if there was a pitching matchup we might lose, it would be this one.

While this is an interesting, curious feat (I wonder what the record is), it sure does not bode well for the team offense as a whole.

If we go back to not being able to solve the Brewers, looks like my .500 prediction will come true. :(

Ishi should have had a 3b on that one.

Now would be a good time to extend the HR streak to 15 runs.

eddie volquez is doing quite well so far.
if he can be even MLB average, that will be a great benefit.
anything more would be unbelievable.

seems to be throwing strikes. hopefully getting ahead.
6 IP with 1ER 1BB and WHIP=.84 against a hot offensive team is quite impressive.
bucs also needed a good game as all 4 starters struggled this last time thru the rotation.

very impressive for him to have 3 very good outings.

Nice break due to the base running mistake.

I can't believe we got out of that.

Very strong outing from Volquez. Encouraging to see.

Snider took advantage of the strange stolen base coverage and now we have first and third for Cutch and one out.

I like the idea of that play, put pressure on the defense.

If only they had committed more to Snider. That was a pretty good job on his part to sell it and draw the throw, but they didn't bite on the rundown.

Yep and Lucroy did a good job by looking back Marte before throwing. If Marte had a better break that would have been an easy run.

The only thing, I'm not sure I like that risk with Pedro up next. If your at the bottom of the lineup, I like it more.

Great point Alvarez should be given every chance to bring in a run.
