He was turning in some nice at bats even before the little hot streak. He didn't deserve most of that 0-12 slump he was in.

I've never seen much wrong with his approach in general, just his swing is so damn long, he struggles with anything remotely high in the zone.

I've never seen much wrong with his approach in general, just his swing is so damn long, he struggles with anything remotely high in the zone.

I think he gets into stretches when he makes up his mind too late or isn't quite ready to hit before the pitch and finds himself behind the ball, which is probably amplified by the length of his swing, but he seems to be fine up in the zone if it's on the outer half in general.

Yeah, agreed there, there are times where he looks like he couldn't make up his mind. To re-word, he has good strikezone judgement, but not the best approach.
