One of the biggest senior classes in Nebraska history and we have to wait until the middle of the 6th round for a player to get picked? That is a development problem by the coaches.

And not having nationally prominent alumni in the NFL will hurt recruiting as well.....no longer can coaches tell kids, we can be the lunching pad to your NFL career......

You and I don't follow the in's and out's of recruiting, but we know it's important and the longer we stay mediocre/irrelevant on the national stage, the harder it becomes to get back on that stage......

Depressing draft from a Husker standpoint.

Rex doesn't get selected till the 6th round (as expected), and ends up in Cincinnati. Chadron State has placed as many guys in the NFL draft this year.

This pretty well speaks towards our recruiting classes in 2008 and 2009. 7 Senior defensive starters leave our 2012 team and very likely that 0 of them get drafted. Regardless of scheme, if you don't have a single NFL caliber player on your 2 deep, then you'll give up 70, 63, and 45 points to good college football teams.

Only 5 Big 10 players selected in the first 2 rounds, and only 20 overall right now. Pretty sad.

Well, I think we all saw how bad the D was the last two years, esp last year. I would have to say that was they worse D I've seen at Lincoln in many/alot of years. They down right sucked.

I wouldn't say last year's defense was the worst in recent memory. Yeah, they stunk up the place, but that defense from the last year under the coach who shall remain nameless was downright trifling. Last year's bunch was a good second place spot when it comes to a crappy defense.

Everyone of those players are 4.0 students and can master the certain defensive scheme immediately. SEC players are wicked smart, that's all. It's not Bo, Jerk!
