Not a big golf fan but happy Tiger made the cut
Yup, he played really well the cut was never an issue. Never seen the wind blow there like it did today.

He says he thinks he has one more in him, this would be the place. Someone will put up a round tomorrow from where he is to get in the mix. I hope it’s him.

Weekly Angel Hernandez is trash post

Ridiculous post.

Homer announcers.

That pitch was tailing off the plate and where the catcher caught it (catch point is behind the plate) was maybe 6 inches outside.

When it crossed the plate?

It was off the edge of the plate by 2-3 inches tops. Probably less than that.

Should it have been a ball?

Yes.

Is it too close to take with 2 strikes?

Yes.

Not an egregious call by any stretch.

If that's the story I saw was no mention of Air Noland. Have to think a decent chance he makes his way to the portal at some point if these reports are on the money.

Agree.

Him and Brown imo.

Or Him and Lincoln

Home plate ump should be done for. We can review plays at plate with technology

I agree that balls and strikes should be done with technology so that it can be consistent and fair.

But singling out that 1 call is really silly. That pitch did not miss by much. There are probably at least 10 questionable calls per game made by human umpires.

It's just an example of why baseball is out of touch. They spend more time worrying about how long a pitcher takes to throw the ball instead of focusing on properly evaluating the outcome of those pitches. The info is there to tell you speed, amount of movement, exit velocity and angle, etc., but was it actually a strike? Nah, let's leave that up to someone partially blocked by the catcher, typically of an age of declining vision, and have that vary from umpire to umpire. Why? In the name of "tradition" lol.

It's often outside strikes when the ump is lined up inside

Just as in that example

My god you just go out of your way to defend any ref/ump no matter what. Everyone know this guy stinks at his job and been this way for years now

agree.....did see one in a game of ours a few days ago I think in the 8th or 9th. we were up and a perfect pitch came over the plate. I swear it had to be Frank Drebin back there when a ball was called.

But missed calls will happen.

He is the worst ump in baseball and has been for some time. That pitch wasn’t close any way you look at it. The worst part is all 3 strikes were very questionable in that at bat. I give it to Langford for just walking back to the dugout without a peep
