For the fans of the show...

Is this season just SUPER boring, or am I just not getting it? I find I just don't care about any of the characters and the story seems dull. I almost feel like I am back in the office and watching dull office politics play out all over again.

Do you feel this as well, or am I just "not getting it"?

First couple of episodes were slow, especially the 2nd which seemed like a total waste, but the rest has been fine. Basically everything Don had for himself is being stripped away which now includes SC&P

The last 2 episodes have been fantastic. The finale next week should be great

I never liked Henry, for some reason he really seemed to me like the kind of person I would absolutely detest in real life. But oh my god did I ever feel just awful for him there.

FYI: AMC is showing a marathon of every Mad Men episode from now until the finale. Episode 3 is on right now. It's weird watching them and realizing this was 8 years ago. It doesn't seem that long but damn.

They seem to need another show before the finale.

Do I really care about Pete?? Don, Peggy, Roger and Sally are the stories I want finished.

So far the Don thread has been lackluster even if the part on Betty was brutal. On the Road, Hobo blues... Been there, done that.

McCann hires Don's replacement and we realize it's Adam Whitman, who after accidentally killing the hotel employee who brought his room service so many years ago used it to fake his own suicide, take the man's identity and start a new life.

Then Megan comes out, does a little dance and striptease and Adam and 2 or 3 other guys bang her for the next 50 minutes or so.

I'm flexible on the first part.

I'm all in on the 2nd part! I actually thought Megan might end up in some of part of the biz doing nudity and possibly more. Of course that was before Don just wrote her a check for $1 million dollars! (How much money does Don have anyways?)

Shit tons apparently. He left 2 mil on the table walking away from McCann. Given his status at companies over the years, he's probably got the equivalent of 50 to 80 mil in today's cash. That or he's about to go broke giving everything up (which is basically the narrative path he's on)

3??

If you are talking about Don Drapers widow, she is dead. If not, I can only think of 2 exes.

So it didn't cost him anything supporting her for all that time, because she's dead now?

It's official...

I wish I never watched the show.

Completely supplants Seinfeld as the show about nothing. How fucking pointless.

The parts with Don and his wrap up was good. Everyone else's seemed sort of slapped together and/or forced, especially Peggy's. Joan's was ok too, I guess. A mildly disappointing climax for what was a great show for several years. Don marrying Megan and their whole story line I could have done without...that's my only quibble with the series.

It was most certainly a "Feel Good" finale. Boy. Except for poor Betty.

It got a little sappy with Stan and Peggy but I liked how they showed her ability to rattle cages and get things done even at McCann Erikson. :)

I am also glad Don found contentment and self-love even though he ends up back at Madison Ave. (Creating the most popular ad of all time LOL)

Sally grows up.. Check

Pete - happiness - Check

Joan - Independence - Check.

Solid B

I liked the end. At first I was like, well that wasn't very climatic. But then I thought about it, and I like it.
