Maybe you should go back and watch again. He broke alot of tackles. He constantly made the first guy miss. The problem was blocking. And there are alot of good backs who don't have breakaway speed...and lots of really fast running backs who get tackled by a blade of grass. Otherwise just draft the fastest back and go home. Arian Foster for example ran a 4.68(the same as Bell), but he makes people miss. I think with some holes to run through Bell could be in that mold.
Won't be any excuses for the guy after this season. 12th in carries, 2nd in fumbles. Don't even get me started on Foster.

I already have a solid excuse in mind already for if and when......Abdullah fumbles. LOL

Fumbles always remind me of a time when I was younger and playing football in the back yard. This one kid we were playing with said this:

"I didn't fumble, he stripped me."

Wasting your breath man.

You're 100% correct, but still wasting your breath.

The Bell/Foster comparison is a good one, imo.

I don't think Bell has Foster's talent level, but Foster is a great example of a RB who doesn't have top-flight breakaway speed, but thrives still due to his power and balance and vision.

Though, now that you compared the two, someone will undoubtedly try to make the case that Foster is over-rated. Never mind that he put up over 1,500 yards and 15 TDs last year... the dude churns out yards and racks up TDs, not really much of a case to be made against him, but I'm sure some will try simply because you compared him to Bell, and that's just what haters do...

Can you guys name me a Running Back who last season, fumbled more than Bell, and didn't league the in rushing?

All you gotta do is name one. Should be simple.

If you can do it, I'll leave your long haired little brother alone.

Ready..... GO!

Not everybody at once now.

Just think guys, Abdullah gets the same coaches Bell does. Not a chance we issues with fumbles next year with that going for us!

I wanted to love Bell, but he fumbled my heart.

Abdullah has shown improvement every year on his fumbling, there is no reason to believe that he won't continue that trend. I am going full kool aid on him, no matter what I thought when the pick was first made.

I like Bell. Local kid fought and keeps fighting for a job, classic overachiever.

But there was a reason he went to Wayne State not a B1G school. Their was a reason he wasn't a high draft pick, their was a reason he was cut from multiple teams, their is a reason the Lions are looking for other backs. If the Lions had drafted Coleman almost every fan on here would be saying good-bye Bell.

My guess is Bell's touches will get reduced and he will be splitting time with Riddick and Abdullah. He has gotten everything he could from his talent IMO. If LeShoure wasn't such a washout Bell may not even be on the team.

Joique Bell turned the ball over 1 time in 250 touches. Thats seems pretty good to me.

I think Bell still gets some carries but he better hope Abdullah cant run between the tackles because they will give the ball to the guy with the most impact.

A fumble is a fumble. Bell can't control who falls on it.

Love him while you can folks.

I have a question. Think about this for a minute.

Lets assume we see a pretty good improvement up front with the run blocking and you consider the running ability of both Bell and Abdullah, who are you giving the ball to the majority of the time?

Thats a little much...but not out of the question. Andrew Luck fumbled 13 times last year...Russell Wilson 11...Aaron Rodgers 10...(Staff only had 8 by the way).

Only Cutty, Newton, Luck and Murray lost more than Staff. (It was the two on the final playoff drive that got to me. And those didn't even count in the rankings.)

I hate fumbles. I hate drops. I don't really like Russel Wilson. And I'm pretty sure Aaron Rodgers is a closet faggot. (Lucks weird looking. Fumbles a lot and throws tons of picks. We all know we'd take his ugly ass in a heartbeat though.)
