A new one to check out is the iTunes Radio which is now included as one of the main iTunes buttons. It's like Pandora. You can run it on your home system and will have a lot of presence on phones as well. Apple will be pimping this hard as they will be unveiling a lot involving radio and tv entertainment services over the next year.

Siri has some new features as well as improvements in it's voice recognition abilities.

Itunes radio is pretty bad ass from what i've played with so far...

I hated Pandora. I get like the Pearl Jam channel and have to listen to Alice in Chains or some shit.

If I wanted Alice in chains I would sign up for that channel.

I was told it was up to date on 6.1.x a few times then updated. I got an error updating a few times, then it started.

So far no bugs found and its pretty good. Like an idiot I could figure out how to shut down apps in the background. Now you "flick" them to the top and they leave. I like it. The only drawback is that I lost all my personalized settings (screen lock timer, apps in the notification screen had to be reset, the default background sucsk, etc).


Best news, that fucking useless Newstand app can now to hidded in a subgroup. No more taking up real estate on the main screen. The picture groupings will take getting used to.

Thanks! I'm an oldtimer with an iPad 1 and it has iOS 4.3 (I think).... I actually had no idea I could upgrade. It looks like I can only go up to iOS 5, but at least that should get me a few more games!....

So today I gotta figure out how to add weather back to my notification center.

I'm a big fan of that new "swipe from the bottom" center that pops up. I know that jailbroken phones had that for a while, now the phone is more useable and I already deleted a few of my apps like flashlight.


iOS7 seems like they finally started to look at reasons why people were jailbreaking their phones and decided to address that. Auto app updates and the control panel are pretty nice.

Me too.
I started the upgrade at work, forgot about it and left so it got interrupted. When I tried to resume, it gave me an error and had to start from the beginning (trying to determine how long it would take, etc.). When I got home, I checked again and it said my software was up to date (version 6.whatever), so I powered down & restarted. It then said the upgrade was available. Completed the download and no problems...so far.

As far as this upgrade it completely screwed over my phone. The restore did not work right and basically all my apps etc are all gone.

Call into Apple and they want 20 bucks to help me. Fuck them.

I don't have an iphone, just an itouch and I updated mine last night.

I had to update my itunes first, then updated to i07. That swipe feature from the bottom is sweet. I was able to delete my flashlight app since the new version has one.

For those that bought stuff off itunes and can't get the song to add to your library, click the cloud on the left hand side of the screen. There should be three of them. Click one and it starts downloading all three. That's how I got mine to add.
