Absolutely disrespectful of NBC to use anyone from either team on the broadcast. I'm sure Ducks fans wouldn't want Fox to be doing the color commentary. Why subject Kings fans to Hayward?

The fact that Bob Miller was not hired by NBC sports is beyond me. He's part of the greatest announcing trifecta ever- Scully, Hearn and Miller. I assume the Kings' org will not let another network hire him?

I'm not sure, I could swear I have seen Jim Fox on a national broadcast before. Those details are in their contracts and maybe Fox's is different than Miller's.

One thought that crosses my mind is...maybe he doesn't want to do it. These national games require travel, and at his age I would assume he wants to stay close to home at all times. Dude has accomplished everything someone in his career should, he has nothing left to prove.

Calls the games at home, goes home to his bed every night whether the Kings play in St. Louis or Anaheim. I think other things are more important to him at this stage of his life.

He has one foot in the grave, I don't think he is going to be around much longer unfortunately.

Most likely they would want him to leave Fox Sports and the Kings and work for NBC full time ala Doc Emerick. Emerick used to be the New Jersey Devils play-by-play guy and was hired away by NBC. Emerick obviously took the NBC gig whereas Bob Miller may have rejected any offer.

The Ducks really did not look good against the Stars for most of the series so it makes me hopeful we can get this done in 5 or 6. Home Ice in this series a non factor imo.

Get to the Ducks early and they will make goalie changes fast. As long as Quick is Quick we should be fine.
