Well, solid first after a seven game series. Ducks are simply faster but also taking the fight at the Kings and hitting. Any of you guys read Jewels from the Crown? The guys who write over there are adamant that the Ducks are more or less a lucky team. Their puck possession is below league average and various stats that I cannot calculate imply they get a lot of breaks.

However, stats must be lying because the Ducks appear to me as a well positioned, fast and all about countering. The Ducks look really sharp, I'm impressed. Kings need to find another gear, I hope they can.

No they are right. The Ducks are a very overly lucky team. A lot of times they are chasing the puck for long periods of time and have nothing going then out of no where they get a lucky break and they score. Dallas controlled most of the series but the Ducks got a lot of lucky goals.

I get breaks happening over a seven game series, but the Ducks play to counter and it works for them.

Its going to hurt them. I bet they won't make it past this series since the Kings are very good defensively and will be in position to stop it.

The Ducks jump out to leads and the other teams try and come back and have more possession in doing so.

Sharp? Impressed? They lead the Western conference. Did you watch any regular season games?

Well right now the Ducks are completely controlling play. Kings can't keep the puck and/or clear the zone. Absolutely no offense from the guys in white.

Honestly, I missed the first few Ducks/Kings games and only saw the last one and Dodger stadium game. I threw out my dodger impressions due to the anomaly of the outdoors. Otherwise, I have not seen the Ducks play at all due to living in No. Cal. Honestly, I thought they may be like the St. Louis Blues and not built for the playoffs. So chill out and don't jump on people for being honest. Wish I could watch more, just can't.

I hear ya.. I lived in the Bay Area for 10 years (1993-2002) - It's not fun trying to keep up, but luckily it was the lean years.

That was most certainly a penalty, but a real garbage one at that. ****y play by the Ducks.
