Yeah thats right he didn't play in 45 either so yeah yer right but his numbers didnt fall off in his late years he was 28 when it went below 200 for the first time.

28 after 4 years at war is a little different than 28 playing XBox all day. Take it the other way..... Instead of what I said, 250 a year, or 175 like you suggest, what if in the years that he was 23-26 he struck out 348 per year and won 26 per year during that span.... 1000K's(250 a year) was conservative

What if he didn't go to war and took a lineshot off his forehead opening day 1942 then what? Lots of others came back from the war and didn't fall off at 28. But I don't typically play the what if game, what if Mickey wasn't a drunk who hurt his knee he might have hit 700 HR's and be known as the best who ever played. Feller was an excellent pitcher for a number of years but again not top 3 IMO. But thats what makes these fun is differing opinions.

Let me get this clear we need to score all 25 players on each team from 1-12 points. Then add up the total and send it to you Nos?

Total possible points could be 300. 12pts x 25 players.

I wanted to use my WC pick on Miguel Cabrera but needed a LF badly so I took Shoeless Joe instead.

I almost used my WC on Albert Pujols... But i thought fred McGriff was close enough to a decent 1B...

Yep, I just hope everyone doesn't do like the last draft and rank everyone within 3 points...

Not sure if you guys know much about Joe Sewell but the guy was kinda hard to strikeout.

His most strikeouts in a season was 20. The last 9 seasons of his career he did not strikeout more than 9 times.

114 strikeouts in over 8,300 plate appearances for his career.

In 1925 he had 699 plate appearances and had only 4 strikeouts.

Obviously there are other big names in our draft that were hard to strikeout but man those are some crazy numbers.

This is gonna suck. So many 1927 players I'm gonna have to look up

I'm thinking prior to the next draft I want to have a better ranking system in place.

I think this system is fine. Usually 95 percent of guys I dong have to look up to grade. It's just this draft with so many old guys I'm gonna have to look up a ton

how do we vote, is it based on one game(where only a few pitchers matter) or do we base it on a 7 game series where all 5 starting pitchers pitch at least one game??

Everyone is different. I baseball it on 5 games. 5 starters, 5 games

I use both a series and who I think put together a better team, like pieces that work well together.

The games are up and ready for voting.

Me too. The rankings will have very little to do with the winners of this IMO. I mean, bench players are worth the same 12 points as starters, set up as starters, etc. It's about star power and depth IMO
