Here we go it's everyone's favorite. The MLB draft, this time we will be doing a draft in which you will draft 8 players who played during the 1927 season 8 players who played during the 1957 season and 8 players who played during the 1987 season. You will also get to add one wildcard pick which means you get to take 1 extra player but that player CANNOT have played during the 1927, 1957 or 1987 seasons.
YOU MUST DRAFT
1 - C
1 - 1B
1 - 2B
1 - 3B
1 - SS
1 - LF
1 - CF
1 - RF
1 - DH (The DH can be any hitter you want whether they played DH or not)
1 - BUC (Backup Catcher)
2 - BUI (Backup Infielders)
2 - BUO (Backup Outfielders)
5 - SP
6 - RP (You can select any relief pitcher you want even 6 closers)
Starting pitchers have to have started at least 75% of the games they have pitched in to qualify as a starter.
Relief pitchers need to have pitched in relief in at least 25% of the games they have pitched in to qualify as a reliever.
Position players must have started at least 648 games at the position you play them at.
Once we are done drafting we will rank every teams players on a scale from 1 - 12 with 12 being best. This will be used to decide tiebreakers only.
Same rules apply as far as time OTC although everyone has been great with this lately. You have 2 hours from the time the pick before you was posted. You have 3 hours on weekends.
All trades will be approved but I still need all teams involved in trades to PM me the trade and that they agree to it.
It is appreciated if you know you might not be on for your next pick to leave a list with Ritz or myself. You can also do as others have done and leave me your phone# and I will text you when you are on the clock.
