Interesting that the part of it you don't like is what I think is most important!!!

Whats most important is making 1 - 5 hitters more important than 6 - 9 when just about everyone has the best possible players 1 - 5. 6 - 9 is what seperates teams in these drafts. Same thing with pitching just about everyone has a Cy Young winning hall of famer as their 1 and 2 starters it's 3 through 5 that seperate teams. I'm not saying your way is wrong I just don't agree with it.

I would do baseball like this

Starting Hitters (9 players) 1-15pts each
Bench (5 players) 1-10pts each
Pitchers (5 players) 1-15pts each
Bullpen (6 players) 1-10pts each
Batting Order 1-10pts
Pitching Order 1-10pts
Overall Team Chemistry 1-20pts

I dislike having individual placement in lineup be worth more points then the others. My player who bats 8th could be better then my leadoff hitter in per talent wise and shouldn't lose points because of where I put him in my lineup because he might have 8 more GG's then the other guys batting in front of him. Just my opinion on the matter.

I have to say, I've never been huge on the player points deal, though I don't have a better option. If you look at the SF teams from when Bonds was playing, SF would probably lose at 6-7 of the positions on the field. Wouldn't matter, Barry was still hitting 3rd

What was your Worst Pick??

Mine was clearly Wade Boggs in the 4th... This was the pick that restricted me and made it near impossible to trade Cobb, and Forced me to get Fred McGriff for power...

does anyone think they had a perfect draft??

I dont ever think I have a perfect draft. For me Cy Young was my mistake, not that I drafted him just where I drafted him. He could have waited and I spent the entire draft trying to trade him to get a top pitcher and my WC back. The fact UK got Mathewson in the 13th round is stupid crazy. I would have taken him before that had I been able to move Cy for another top pitcher and get my WC back.

I've never had a perfect draft, not even close. I do agree with Nos, if he made one mistake, it was taking Young early. The way I figured it, there were 8 guys drafting, if I decided to save my WC, I would get one of those 8 no matter what. I had Mathewson, Feller, Young, Pedro, Seaver, Bob Gibson, Honus Wagner and Joe Dimaggio listed as my 8 guys. I thought taking a WC early would be a mistake, because you are basically giving up a top 25 draftable player for one ranked around 100 and up. I was going to wait till the very end, but I thought Mathewson would have been long gone, so I grabbed him when I did

I don't think there is much of a difference between the categories, don't know how big of a pool some of those categories will be...

I think there will be a big difference, there are many great players who arent in the hall or werent 1st team decade. I put it the way I did just to cover everyone and give all of us choices.
