I'm still sticking with Barton as my prediction of where they go in the first.

Final answer.

How I feel about that will depend largely on who else was available.

My problem is JPJ seems VERY concussion-prone.

I'm good with Barton making the move and unconcerned about his height. Pouncey was a taller center. Really not crazy about taking a center in the first though. Not sure any of these guys would have went in the first last year. Linderbaum was a better prospect last year and went 25. These guys all seem like they are pick 33-50 range type guys honestly.
All 3 have injury concerns. Concussions vs soft tissue knee injuries (for OL this can be tough). Pick your poison lol.

Seems official and why would they? It would have been an awful move.

For anyone to think it is one and done I doubt it. The team just wants to negotiate a proper deal next offseason.

Hasn't been confirmed yet. But all the click-hungry 'sources' are confirming it as such based on Schefter's "expected" outcome.

Dulac is saying Steelers view Barton as a generational player.
Might be referring to Ike Taylor's scouting. Ike said guys like Barton don't come around very often.

Pretty damn similar to Alex Kozora's mock. Although I have to question why you didn't draft a DB? Instead going with adding 3 to the front 7?

I'm a BPA zealot. Within reason. Didn't like the value at any one point at DB.

Interesting choice coming up with all the DBs still on the board.

Wasn't Dulac the guy they lied to about the QB situation about a month ago? Lol. Poor guy should just retire. Definitely weren't viewing Barton as a generational talent lol.

Troy is position flexible. Super athletic, (and Old) for the draft.

Played his career at LT. I think that's where he sticks here. Keep the OL the way it was, and let Troy battle Dan for LT.

Cooper DeJean is the #1 player on the board to me. If he drops a bit, they should try to trade up and get him.

Then:

Kool-Aid McKinstry
Jackson Powers-Johnson
Ladd McConkey
Johnny Newton
Adonai Mitchell
Zach Frazier
Johnny Newton
T'Vondre Sweat
Troy Franklin
Malachi Corley
Ennis Rakestraw

Dulac has been more reliable than most. But all media shouldn't be as trusted as they are. Their main initiative is to produce material that drives ratings, even if its more based on rumors than inside sources.

I see why the Steelers didn't pull the trigger on Barton though. They've done enough homework to feel comfortable with any of the top 3 C prospects. They may be gambling that either Frazier or JPJ falls to them at 51. Or maybe they are enamored enough to move up for one of those guys, or even a DB or WR. They can still find a decent C prospect in the 3rd Rd. Probably would mean bringing Mason Cole back if that were the case.

My guess is they wait until the next Center is selected to gauge whether they need to move up. Guarantee Khan will be on them phones as soon as a Center is picked before them.
