I think the Lakers definitely have the better squad, but I like Brooklyns fluidity better for spacing and switching. I think the Nets should try to trade DAJ to try to solidify the PF position though. I like Allen better at this point in their careers.
I think they still have that $5.7M MLE to use..I could be wrong though

I do think the Lakers are significantly the best team but they might have the deepest team as well. Another team I do think is very deep is Brooklyn, just have to see them on the court...is the issue there. Only thing with Brooklyn is their lack size at PF position.

Starters
Lebron - Kyrie
KCP - LeVert
Matthews - Harris
AD - KD
Gasol - Jordan

Bench
Schroder - Dinwiddie
Caruso - Shamet
Kuzma - Prince
Morris - Jeff Green
Harrell - Allen
Seeing those rosters on paper tells me the C's don't have the depth to compete for a Championship right now...

... starting line-up, we can toe-to-toe with anybody... but the depth just isn't enough...

... and God-forbid we have an injury.

The Lakers are still looking for a third Center since Cousins left for Houston. I think it'll either be Pau Gasol or Whiteside. Gasol will probably be the choice because he fits the Cap space issue better than Whiteside as the Lakers had to move McGee's contract to afford Marc Gasol.

Redick is a sniper.

Ingram and Ball are just below Redick and good shooters. Ingram at 39% and Ball at 38%.

Zion made 43% in limited shots. So not a great indicator but has shown promise.

Adams is the only one who doesn't shoot the 3.

And Hart and Bledsoe are both respectable off the bench.

You're right....neither of us will make the other agree with their stance but it's always fun to try.

DJ, you are wrong here.

Pelicans probably going to be near the bottom of the league in 3 point percentage.

Hard to play an effective, up tempo brand without high quality shooting.

They can be a playoff team, but they have a definite ceiling with this roster.

They do have a lot of young guys on that C's bench. Tatum and Brown keep growing...let those young guys grow. Gotta have a window though bc you can't pay all those guys but would be rare to see all those guys developing in AS type of players. It seems like the Celtics are always just a step away imo been like that for a couple years, maybe it's just me

I never said they were going to be great. I said the Pels and Suns both can make the playoffs....as 7 and 8 seeds. I never said they would be contenders.....just both made enough moves to make the postseason.

And not sure how you think they are going to be awful shooting from the outside.

Redick made 45%.
Ingram 39%.
Ball 38%.
Bledsoe 35%

That's just those 4.

The Lakers can't afford Whiteside.

Depends. He's running out of options. If no one looks to sign him, the Lakers may be able to get him with what they have left to spend.

I don't think that's going to happen, I think someone will offer him more than the Lakers can. Heck, someone may do it just to keep him away from the Lakers. lol

Glad they brought back Saric. Thought he was gone when I saw some of the contracts getting offered.

They had to overpay some because they are a smaller market.
Yep...Really, though, it seems like most FAs who are not elite, max level guys get overpaid.....other than the older ones chasing a ring or choosing based on location (or both).
