Do we have enough talent and a solid coaching staff to go 8-8 this season. This would really be a step in the right direction of the Bills becoming relevant again, what are your thoughts?

I'd say we do, lots of our players are thinking playoffs

with that being said I think we need to tank this year, get Jadeveon Clowney and have the best defensive line in the NFL, Tom Brady would crap his pants and Tim Tebow would cry.

My dream season is undefeated and a super bowl though

my realistic one is we upset New England to start the year, and sweep the Jets, but that's it, and hopefully the Jets sweet the Dolphins and win only two more, as long as we're the first team that would pick Clowney we're good.

I dont think we really have to tank the season it will probably come naturally. The team is really not that good and we have a tough schedule. I think asking for 8 wins from this team is asking a lot.

Practice Notes - July 29th

Practice Notes - July 30th

and today's

Practice Notes - July 31st

My take so far

defense looks to be ahead of the offense

we've had some wildcards do good so far which is fantastic for the defense, Alex Carrington has been much better than ever, if he can emerge we will already have a dangerous defensive line, Jerry Hughes who we got in a trade from the Colts has been great of the edge so far. I liked him out of college, perhaps he just didn't fit in with the Colts very well, we may have gotten a big steal here.

Good to see Manuel is looking alright against new pressures, he's still inconsistent though.

It's Spiller's birthday!!

I love this kid. Probably the best player I've ever seen come through Clemson. Had the privilege to watch this guy live on Saturdays in Death Valley and he just electrified the place everytime. I hope he gets more carries this year and can rip some shit up. He's just an all around good guy.

Kolb is back at camp. He hasn't been cleared by doctors yet, but has not been ruled out for Sunday's preseason game yet.

C.J. Spiller of Buffalo Bills to get ball 'until he throws up' -- Nathaniel Hackett - ESPN

The Buffalo Bills plan to give carries this season to running back C.J. Spiller "until he throws up," offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett said during a radio interview Wednesday morning.
"It's real simple: We're going to give him the ball until he throws up," Hackett told The Howard Simon Show on WGR 550 in Buffalo. "So he's either got to tap out or throw up on the field. Let's just put it that way."

In former Bills news, Donald Jones just retired due to needing a kidney transplant. Apparently, he pre-existing condition was the reason he slipped to UDFA in his draft and the reason the Bills didn't offer him a contract this season. Sad news, hope his transplant goes well.

Well since it is almost 2013 Bill article today on ESPN states that it is EJ Manuels job to lose. That makes sense since Kolb has been injured for two weeks. So the EJ Era starts sooner then we thought.

I agree sir

seemed like another good preseason game, it's only preseason but so far so good

we might lose still because the Vikings 3rd stringers are scoring touchdowns on our 3rd stringers

I thought Kevin Kolb would at least make it until week 3 without getting hurt

didn't even make it out of preseason :L

Jeff Tuel might be our week one starter now

injuries are looking like an issue this year :L

Kolb has been unimpressive even when healthy, not sure he's a big loss at this point. Supposedly Manuel is on pace for a potential game 1 start, depends on how careful the Bills are with him.

I wonder if Leinart or Lewis wins a roster spot; the Bills almost have to keep a 3rd QB now, and Kolb seems destined for IR, if not at least being designated the IR player that can return mid season.

No difference between Lewis Leinart or Kolb so I dont see why have Kolb come back stick him on the IR and let him go at seasons end.

Leinhart sucks, we can not start him, even Thad Lewis is better.
