"Such a huge disappointment"? Seems like a bit of an exaggeration as he's had a couple at least decent seasons on pretty bad offenses. Has he lived up to being a first rounder? No...not yet. But the guy is far from a bust at this point IMO.

Deal has nothing to do with what they will pay Chubb.
yes a Huge disappointment For the 15th pick of the draft. As usual you have no objectivity with your team. More than 54 receptions once.

clearly you didn’t understand the Chubb comment.

I mean, I said he has not yet lived up to being a first rounder but he's had a decent season and another good season despite a terrible offense. I'd disagree with calling any player a "huge disappointment" under those circumstances.

To me, a huge disappointment is someone like Charles Rogers, Troy Edwards, maybe Warrick or others like that. I guess could include Braylon Edwards if you'd like, as well (1 really good season not much else).

Since Chubb so far has been paid (with nothing changed with his 2024 contract yet) and RB less important than WR I guess I'm not sure why you might be precomplaining about Chubb based on the Jeudy deal.

Jeudy is 'okay'... I mean, it's a mid first pick that turned out 'okay' and isn't going to make any defensive coord worry in game planning, but there's still general value there.

Given he was a mid 1st round pick, I really don't know what anyone else expected. I found it hilarious that everyone was raving Wilson was going to WAY better OLineman, and WAY better receivers, and WAY better pass blocking, and a WAY better defense.. whatever.

Seems about right for where he is now. Huge disappointment a huge stretch. In a situation like this I would guess majority of 1st round WRs (especially not at top of round 1) wouldn't do much better.

As to the Wilson comments? Totally agree. I get why Denver made the deal, but the idea it was a near lock they were going to challenge KC (which is seemed many thought at time) was kooky talk.

If you think Jeudy is a WR1 then I guess there is the disconnect In our respective opinions. I don’t even think he is a good #2 on a good team.

My point on Chubb is if they are throwing this money around on offense ($20M per for Cooper, $14M for Njoku, a disastrous deal for Watson in both contract and what they gave up for him and now $20M on Jeudy) and Chubb is by far their best offensive skill player and what drives their offense they better keep him or it all may fall apart.

Let’s say you are in a wild card game and one of Chubb or Jeudy gets hurt in the 1st Qtr and doesn’t return. Are you actually saying you‘d rather it be Chubb?

Where did I say Jeudy is a WR1? I'd say making things up (lying?) could be a cause of any disconnect. He's being paid more like a WR2 than a WR1 (his contract includes his $11 mil option).

where am I saying I'd prefer to lose Chubb over Jeudy?

How about you regroup and try again...... and not make things up or assume what I'm thinking?

Chubb is 28 and just had his 2nd major injury.

Most likely will never be the same player he was.

Not a fan for anything less than a 2nd round pick. No reason to give away a pass rusher. His cap has already hit.
It doesn't make a lot of sense. I know he started slow last year from a stat perspective, but the Eagles are way better when he is doing his thing. I wonder if he was one of the locker room problems. Maybe they are trying to weed out the negativity where they can and figure if they get a prime pick back for him they can help their cap and their future without taking a huge hit this year.

Not to mention the Browns signed Foreman as an insurance policy for Chubb.

We may not be privy to some issue with Foreman. Even though he produces well each year, he isn't retained and moves on to a new team (and not for big money).

Exactly....maybe exciting for fans based on name (not fit), but if he wanted a WR that badly how about just draft DK Metcalf who was younger, faster, cheaper and better?

Better in hindsight. Metcalf had his questions during the draft.

I would part with him but for the right price. I heard a 3rd and a 5th being floated on the local sports talk radio. Nah. That doesn’t cut it for me. Let him play the final year of his deal and then let him go to FA.

Apologies in advance if this has already been posted (too lazy to search):

Pretty underwhelming trade on both ends lol.

Feels like the Chiefs should've gotten more especially with the CB class not being that great this year. 3rd round doesn't seem much for a lockdown corner.

As for the Titans, why? That team isn't going to do anything in the next 2 years, so why the hell are they investing in a DB at the moment that is going to want a big payday?

C grade for both teams.

Chiefs
were never gonna be able to resign him so at least they got something, just thought it'd be more than a 3rd.
Titans got a good DB but the Titans will probably still suck for the next couple seasons. I guess they fully believe in Levis and are willing to go all in. You'd think they'd be more interested in building up the OL and getting a replacement WR for Hopkins (who will be 32) and the routinely injured Ridley.

I've watched every single NFL game that Jerry Jeudy has played in. He has definitely NOT lived up to his potential or met the standards of a top 15 pick. However, he is one of the best route runners out there. His excellent footwork, combined with speed can often create the separation he's looking for. This is his top strength by far.

His issue has been twofold:
  • In his time with the Broncos, he has not had good quarterback play. He expressed frustration on many occasions when he was WIDE open and our QB did not see him.
  • He has the dropsies. His stats could be so much better but he just drops too many passes.
Most Broncos fans have said enough is enough. Get what you can for him in a trade. No doubt in my mind that he could end up being a good receiver, if the two issues above are rectified. However, I would never have signed him to that pretty sizable contract until he proved something on the field.
