I have made up mind recently as well Rey, and with Safety being a deep position in this draft, there are several prospects that look like studs. I do like Justin Reid, and also Ronnie Harrison, Jessie Bates, Armani Watts, and Jerome Whitehead, to name a few. I only see Reid being a borderline 1st round pick from this group, so the others may be 2nd and 3rd round picks. I have previously thought LBer was the top, but we've added a couple of free agents that should bolster that corp.

I think safety is definitely in the mix for the reasons you stated, but also because they like to use a 3-safety look sometimes and last year were doing it with journeyman Corey Graham. He played well, but is very old. They definitely need better talent at the safety position. But it is also one of the deeper positions in the draft and they could address it later with a guy like Natrell Jamerson of Wisconsin in the middle to late rounds.

I agree with you, but if a stud Safety is there, then I'd grab him. Douglas will take the BPA, and hopefully, it is a position that needs depth.
BTW, Ronnie Harrison is in Philly for interviews. He is more physical than Reid, but not as good in coverage as Reid. I like both of them the best.

This is a draft with similar depth at DB to that of last year - I agree at some point, I hope we come out of this draft with a developmental/3rd safety - there's some good ones and must admit I don't know much about Reaves, but he sure does sound like a Joe Douglas kind of guy, if we don't end up taking one early.

I think we could draft 2 safeties. A guy like Reid n the 1st, or Bates in the early 2nd. With the 2 4ths we have, we could pick a guy like Reaves in the 4th or 5th. McLeod could possibility be a cap casualty next year, and Malcolm is only a couple years away from retirement.

Bates is a guy to keep an eye on at 32 ... been watching his tape and that kid has excellent instincts and range. Ball Hawk!

I think a team like Carolina will draft Reid or they go WR at their spot. I like a guy like Christian Kirk WR out of TAM if we go WR in the 1st. I like Reid as well for safety, but think he will be off the table by our pick.

If Reid is not there, I would pick Harrison, who is more physical than Reid, but not as good a cover S. He will be very good. If we trade back, then I would select Bates.

I wouldn't take a SS type in Rd 1 ... not in today's NFL. Especially how we use Safety's which is almost like another Corner.

A name I've heard associated with the Eagles pick at 32 is LSU CB Donte Jackson. Kid has speed to burn and played mostly nickel and slot. Could step right in to the spot vacated by Patrick Robinson. Very sticky in coverage ... I wouldn't mind the pick at all.

Yes, he would be a good slot CB. I've heard several reports abut him. The Birds have had him in for a visit. He also ran a 4.32 forty!

He could be a boom or bust. I see him as a slow, RT.
The way he manhandled everyone in college with ease makes me think he will be very good in the NFL. I realize his combine stunk, but he comes from a solid bloodline. Has he visted or interviewed with the Eagles yet?

Isaiah Wynn OLine is another guy I can see as an option if still on the board at 32.

Here are several options if they stay @ # 32:
I prefer Justin Reid but watch out for these:
D. Guice
Jesse Bates
Donte Jackson
Mike Hughes
Ronnie Harrison
Courtland Sutton
D J Moore
James Daniels
Chukwuma Okorafor
Will Hernandez

If any of these don't go in the 1st, they certainly will be high 2nd round picks.

I like Wynn a lot. I would be surprised if it were Brown because he tested really poorly and is not the space blocker we seem to like.

If Justin Reid is there at 32, I will be shocked. My money is on Carolina taking him at 24, but we shall see. If he is sitting at 32, we should take him.
