the quote i heard all month up to that game was.. OU is the most prolific scoring offense that whole season.. Sooners scored at least 60 points in each of their last five Big 12 games with the ultimate highlight coming in the form of a 65-21 beatdown of then undefeated Texas Tech... OU finally met a real defense and was contained

That's called more of having over a month to prepare. You forgot, UF was raping the SEC that year as well, and with ease averaging around 48 ppg and over 450 yds that season. OU's defense was nothing special that year and held UF to 24 pts, (it was 17 with 3 minutes left to play, FYI). This is why no bowl should take over a month to prepare for. The defenses will shine the majority of the time.

The thing that makes me like OU chance are Jeff Badet. He lead the SEC last year for the most big plays and yards, on big plays. He's 6th on OU team this year and only a yard less then last year, average in the SEC.

Had a lot to do with Bradford losing Murray as a receiver out of the backfield. We had nobody else who could do what he did when he went down.

I agree with your point though and I think that’s why people will honestly be surprised at Oklahoma’s D against Georgia. That and that style of offense is right in Mike’s wheelhouse.

Tell me about the 50's again, grandpa.

Was there a time since Herschel Walker that Georgia has played in a New Years Day game? And has it happened more than Georgia has played Kentucky?

Kt is particularly obnoxious. We could be talking about OU vs anybody and here she comes riding in with “didn’t stop us from beating your ass almost a decade ago!!!” :L. Fuck’s sake woman, I know y’all haven’t done shit since then, but Jesus maybe it’s time to cool your jets a bit.

Well, we play Kentucky every year and have every year of my life, but that's like me asking you if Oklahoma has played more NYD games or games against Iowa State.

And Georgia has played in several NYD games since I came to be in 91.

Pay Gaytor fans no mind. Everyone hates them.

Apparently UGA has "karma" headed our way for beating them so soundly this year. But don't bring up Urban Meyer calling multiple time outs to get another TD already up 42-10 instead of taking knees.

I stand corrected. In 25 years you have played in 3 Sugar Bowls. You keep that up and in another 75 years or so you'll hit double digits. No wonder that comment bothered you.

Also FWIW, 98 and 00 Outback Bowls were on NYD

So was the 2004 Capital One Bowl

2005 Outback Bowl
2009 Capital One Bowl
2013 Capital One Bowl
2014 Gator Bowl

So that's 10 NYD Bowls in your timeframe. Not elite level, but better than most.

A bit of an update on the Natrez Patrick arrest.

Looking like there's a good chance Patrick was arrested for simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time(simply being in the car with Stanley, who was nearly in tears telling the officers at the scene that the weed was his, as none was found on Patrick's body). If this is the case, Patrick will likely play.

If not, he's likely gone from the team.

Pointing out facts and correcting your revisionist history isn't bragging.

Now go back to dreaming about Bud Wilkinson and the 50's.
