What we learned from Packers' win over Vikings

3. All that being said about the Vikings' vapid offense, let's give it up for the Packers defense, which is ending the season like it started it; throttling division opponents in their buildings. Led by a hard-hitting secondary and a fierce pass rush, the Packers allowed season-lows in first downs and total yards. Pro Bowl snub Za'Darius Smith bolstered his Defensive Player of the Year campaign by logging a career-high 3.5 sacks of Cousins, five QB hits in all and five tackles for loss; his bash brother on the other side of the line, Preston Smith, added half a sack. General manager Brian Gutekunst's expensive offseason acquisitions are paying off in crunch time. Z. Smith now has 14.5 sacks on the season, while P. Smith boasts 12, the duo surpassing Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree for the most by a tandem in the league (26.5). As the Chiefs accentuated on Sunday night, Green Bay's defense is peaking at the right time. The Packers have allowed fewer than 16 points in four straight games for the first time since 2002 -- and they get the David Blough-led Lions next week.

That's neat and all, but will the O step up and take some pressure of of them so it's complimentary football? I'd like to see that, mostly because the way the NFL is today, your D can carry you, but it's still a league that is set up for the offensive side to succeed and if your O can't succeed it only takes one or 2 bad plays by your D to lose a game....or your special teams...or some stupid yellow hankey and the wrong time...

Well remember the last trip to the Super Bowl how a wild card team put it together at the right time? That team had so many injuries as well. This year the team has been as healthy as can be and hopefully they can be a balanced team as they get into the playoffs. Next week can maybe help with the offense then a week off to get more game planning in

Packers, saints, and 49ers are the contenders for the NFC title. Seattle would be in there too but I think they are just too banged up

Incredibly underwhelming performance for the Vikes. Not Cowboys bad, but they really shit the bed. Cousins didn't have much of a chance, but 7 first downs for an entire game? At home?.....yeesh.
