So there was a fight today at practice between Spillman & Thomas.

@mattbarrowsRare practice-field fight at #49ers camp made even rarer because it was between two safeties, Michael Thomas and CJ Spillman.

@mattbarrowsJim Harbaugh himself dove -- I'm not making that up -- dove onto the pile to break it up. Spillman was sent to the locker room.

Apparently AJ Jenkins had a good day at practice. Can just guy just catch on or fall off and get it over with?

Collie, KW and Reid also had good practices. Reid looks like he will be the week 1 starter at this rate. Here's to hoping he continues to improve this preseason.

Seriously, that is all he had? Maiocco and Webzone both tweeted that he had a good practice. If we are getting to the point that two catches is considered having a good day then we might have to think about replacing him after the season.

I thought I read he had 3.
I also thought I read that Patton, despite not being allowed to catch the ball, had 2 (both one handed).

It really is being over analyzed, but that's the way it goes with 1st round picks. Especially a struggling one who many felt was a reach. Still, Boldin didn't catch any passes during practice yesterday. Does that mean he had a bad practice?

Boldin was a Rookie of the year, pro bowler, and contributing Superbowl champion.. Lets keep the comparisons in the same ball park.

That's a fun game --- I had more catches fishing as a five year old than Jenkins did all of last year.

Kap-to-Vernon Davis 'seemingly unstoppable'

CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco describes Colin Kaepernick's training camp chemistry with Vernon Davis as "seemingly unstoppable."

We've read reports of Davis and Kaepernick's impressive rapport throughout August, carrying over from January's playoffs. "Last year when he first got the starting job, we'd be at practice and he'd keep overthrowing me," Davis described. "I'd be running as fast as I possibly could and Colin just kept overthrowing me. Now we get out there and it's night and day. He puts the ball right there. Man, he's come a long way. I'm very impressed."
