I'm really surprised by Collier. Guy missed the entire training camp with an injury.

LJ Collier is being gifted a career, what are you surprised about? Never plays and yet still makes the team. Same thing happened last year also , don't you remember? The FO Can't admit they had another "SWING AND A MISS" in the first round.

I don't think that's it. I think it is just a lack of useful alternatives on the DL.

So the Hawks put Collier on IR and signed Coleman. So looks like it was all just cap moves.

Isn't that 3 for 3 for Collier, 3 seasons started on the IR? No it can't be the Hawks are holding onto a first round pick to save face :P lol I can't explain this at all as he hasn't did anything in any preseason or season to justify sticking with him. :noidea:

They can't release him if he is injured.

release with injury settlement, it happens all the time. I'm just saying LJ Collier is sandbagging.

L.J. Collier signed a 4 year, $10,836,078 contract with the Seattle Seahawks, including a $5,900,784 signing bonus, $9,354,756 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,709,020. In 2022, Collier will earn a base salary of $1,972,647, while carrying a cap hit of $3,447,843 and a dead cap value of $2,461,521

So we should just cut him for the sake of cutting him?

Yes, a player can be released with an injury settlement, but the player agrees to that settlement. If the player does not agree to the settlement, the team cannot release them until they are healthy. I don't know the details on Collier, so I can't say if this was a tactic taken, but the team can only release an injured player with that players agreement.

sandbagging. lol

I want him to do something but this is getting stupid and wtf is up with our linebackers? Brooks and Barton .... uhm ..... hello this room is empty. Kick Collier off the team and find a linebacker that can play because if Brooks goes down or Barton we are screwed. 3-4 doesn't mean you fill your team with edge rushers and 2 Linebackers lol.

Thankfully Taylor looks to be the real deal and athletic enough to play a little Linebacker in space but thats not his thing.

This QB draft class looked SO bad but Kenny Pickett played WAY better than I expected. He would have Beat out Geno in my eyes. Still don't feel like he was worth a 1st round pick but we wont know that for another 2-3 more years.

We'll see. Lots of guys look great in preseason games against guys who won't sniff an NFL field when it matters.

He looked the best out of the rookie QB's some people wanted drafted so I just wanted to bring it up. I was dead set against drafting one and had the Hawks drafted Pickett in the 2nd round I would have been PISSED but had he played this well for us I would be feeling 100% ok with it right now.

I have no idea what the Seahawks plan to do with LJ Collier the frustrating thing last year was the guy was a healthy scratch for a good portion of the games and now he is still on the team this year. I guess to someones point earlier that if you are paying him regardless you might as well just keep him on the team. I also do believe that whatever realistic market there was to replace him wasnt there so they are stuck with him.

As for Geno and Lock what we pretty much expected happened. Lock in the minimal time he played although he threw 4 touchdown passes he also turned the ball over 4 times. We all know that Pete doesn't like turn overs and Geno pretty much got the job by making sure he didnt turn over the ball. I guess I can see it that way because if you turn the ball over multiple times in one game you pretty much lossed.

Maybe he'll break Dave Kreig's record for fumbles... :D
