It is great to see Solo getting some early run on a playoff/championship caliber team. He is shooting 57% and has only turned the ball over once in his 40+ minutes to start his NBA career. From the first day that dude stepped foot on campus you could tell he would be a solid pro. What he lacks in athletic ability he more than makes up for with his head. Future coach.

Yep, good for Solo, he was one of those players that you knew -from the start- would go to work every day and play some great blue-collar basketball. Good for him, hope he shines, he deserves it.

The new rule changes are going to make the game unwatchable for the first few weeks while the players get used to refs calling it tight:

Yeah, I heard someone mention that. Something to pay attention to, and if we're honest, it is not such a bad thing. We all love Miller, but many believe that one of his shortcomings the last 4 years has been his reluctance to play deep into his bench early in the season.

Even if the Cats are up by 20 he is more apt to go with the 7-9 rotation players than to give the "10-12" guys some minutes in early season blowouts. Maybe, with the tight calls, he will be forced to play a few extra guys early (Korcheck, Peters, etc), and it might help out the team in March? Perhaps?

I have to believe that Korchek gets the back up minutes from Zeus that BA doesn't get. I think it'll take Peters some time to get in there. But if his outside shot develops like it's supposed to, and he plays big, he has to get minutes.
