This is a good move .. If Wilson were to get seriously injured in these final two games, it would hurt the financial positioning for the team ..

Sean never liked Russ, which makes this season a bit of a waste. Russ is as good as gone and we are in cap hell for the next few years. Sucks to be a Broncos fan these days.

Reports say he will dress as the #2 QB which is stupid if the case. If this is for injury concerns to not vest 2025 he should be in street clothes.

RW just isn't the long term answer for the Broncos. If they can get anything for him, it's worth him sitting. Stidham also isn't the long term answer but may provide a little spark in the final two games.

I'm happy about some of the improvements the team made this year. However, we're still so far away from contention. Salary cap hell means we'll remain there for several years. The Broncos might get lucky with a mid round QB this year but I'm afraid our 8 year drought is going to continue.

The NFL is about cycles are parity. I have faith that our team will rise again. Happy New Year and Go Broncos!!

I think Denver is more concerned with Russ not getting hurt and hoping to find a potential trade partner than a what 5% playoff chance.

Interesting wrinkle. Wilson warned ahead of time that he would be benched if he didn’t get rid of injury guarantee. How much of this is true is anyone’s guess…

Very true but it‘s possible they know no one will take on his contract. Of course there‘s still plenty of time, I’m sure someone like Atlanta may come along and offer something right before the draft.

I liked the RW trade when they made it, hated the extension when they made it. The dead money is going to be tough for a couple years. I definitely liked the trade but as much as I did, I hated that extension.
