This young man is a monster get. These are the kind of WR's we need in Riley's offense, with all the guise Norvell recruited being the #2 or slot.

There's a couple of receivers in last year's class who could fit that mold as well.

How do we lose in-state talent like that?

:L

All 3 ESPN 300 OL in the state of Oklahoma left the state. That's inexcusable. Good news is, we're pretty good at OL.

what's sad is he originally committed to OU in 2013, but left the fold last April. he still had OU in his top 3 at the end, FWIW.

you have to get the good kids from Oklahoma to stay in state. no excuse, damnit.

Is there anyone we're still waiting to hear from, or is our class complete?

OU did not have a good year recruiting even though we'd all like to try to think we did. Losing so much instate talent is a sign of the times. And we didn't get it over the hump with some excellent players out of state who had us in their final 2-3 choices but consistently made the decision not to play at OU. There was a time we got more than our fair share of these top recruits. Now? There's too much losing going on in Norman, the coaching staff is a heaving crap shoot and Stoops lost his edge years ago. I wish this whole thing would just fast forward and we could move on to another era.

I agree. We also got recruits in every vital area. Got some nice WR, DB, and LB commits, which we desperately needed.

K thanks, we were in the hunt for him and I wanted to double check. I wanted that kid BAD, he reminds me a lot of Tavon Austin. Oh well, at least he is in conference, congrats guys :suds:

I'm hoping he is kicking the Big 12's ass for the next two years. :hope:

Sorry, Romeo, but that's how I see it. I pretty much see everything through the eyes of a businessman and when we are considering an investment into a company the #1 thing we look at before we really dig down into the details is information on the senior management. The senior management is making the top decisions and it is hiring the talent in the company. Same thing with the OU football program. The coaches are making the top decisions and they are recruiting the talent. If a company, or a football program, is falling down in either place we take a pass. I love OU; I just can't stand the shitty way the program has been run the past few years and I don't see anything in this recruiting class to make me think we are headed back to The Big Dance if we keep going the direction we are now. This is a consistent 2-4 loss program until things change and I am skeptical Bob Stoops will ever get us back to a NC game.

That's fine, but you're letting it slant your views of even a quality recruiting class. Which this was. We're all on the same page with where Stoops has been steering this thing, but damn man, it's not all doom and gloom all the time.
