RB Rashaad Penny in the 1st

I just got an alert on my Fanduel app that said Carroll announced that Carson and Penny will be splitting the carries pretty evenly vs the Vikings next week. That's not a huge surprise considering the good game Penny had and the fumbles that Carson had.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll indicated Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny will split touches in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings.

What It Means:
"Chris is a guy who is a big part of our team and we’ll do everything we can," Carroll said of Carson. "Competition is a beautiful thing and no reason not to get [Penny] back in there next week. We'll get those guys hammering away." This comes after Carson fumbled the ball on back-to-back plays in the second half of Sunday's Week 12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He finished with a season-low 8 rushes for 26 yards while Penny came in and posted 129 yards with a touchdown on 14 carries. With the fantasy playoffs fast approaching, Carson may all of a sudden be the second option in Seattle's backfield.

Carson finished with 7.7 FanDuel points on Sunday. Penny posted a season-best 18.9 FP. The Vikings have the sixth-best rush defense in the NFL (94.2 yards per game).

The Lions badly wanted Penny before settling on Kerryon Johnson. Not a good sign.

Even without the fumbling, getting more touches for Penny wouldn't be a bad thing. Going into yesterday's game, Carson had the 5th most touches in the league I believe. He deserves a series off here and there as we get into the playoff stretch.

I think the second one yesterday was actually charged to Wilson.

We have a nice one two punch at the running back position, which is desired when you are a run oriented team.

Are we really a run oriented team? 352 passing attempts to 279 handoffs to running backs...

Yesterday at one point, Wilson had 30 attempts to 12 handoffs...

Relative to the rest of the league, yes I think we still are. How many teams throw it less as a ratio of pass to run? 1 or 2?

neat stat, when Penny touches the ball 2 times in a game the Hawks are 7-0, when he doesn't they are 2-2. Now i am not saying he needs to touch the ball more for us to win because a lot of that has to do with having a lead the hawks run more meaning Penny has a higher chance to get a touch. Just thought it was a neat stat if not a little miss leading.

so he is at 8 fumbles he has been involved in then, i think one of the fumbles agianst pitt was also credited to wilson. thats absolutely horrendous.

What I really wanted the seahawks to do was sign Kareem hunt on that 1 year veteran minimum then trade Penny. I think having Hunt on the seahawks would have fit perfectly and would have been deadly because this guy could catch passes as well as run the ball. A signing him to a 3-4 year extension would be a bargain compared to what it would cost most other backs.
