Ah yes, Maurer. I remember what few starts he had well. I take it we reminded him of how bad he was while with us?

I have to admit, it was pretty sweet to see them take it to Maurer even if I never actually disliked Maurer when he was here. It was also nice to see them make whatever adjustments they needed to make in their respective third times up against the starter and have it pay off big for them. I think Mariners hitters in years' past would have either failed to make those adjustments because they didn't know which adjustments to make or been so demoralized by being held down for half the game that they wouldn't have been able to fight their way back into the game, let alone take it over and put it away late. It's a resilient team and while they're going to have their hiccups every once in a while, I don't think that we're going to be seeing any prolonged losing streaks from these guys for the rest of the season.

This is baseball, and it is a long season.

Sure, we have gotten swept by A's, Angles, Twins, NOT the top tier of baseball right now. But Overall.

Sure, the June schedule LOOKS tough, but IF they wish to contend, then perform like Contenders.

I know it's not about me or all the oldtimers @WizardHawk but take a chill, I LIKE my(our) team.

Still infuriating we weren't able to win even 1 against the Twins, but I guess yesterday's win takes a little sting out of it. Certainly better than losing 4 in a row at home. Looked bleak at the point Karns tubed that short throw to 1st in same inning Seth Smith couldn't make that catch in left, giving the Pads 5 outs in that inning but they got through it.
