There's a pretty big loophole in that amendment. It only includes a coach's "base salary". ADs will just give them huge bonuses to make up for it.

A far less likely (but infinitely more fun) possibility is to imagine Kelly or Wilcox teaching a single Football 101 class so they could be considered “faculty.”

I'd rather see option 2.

Wonder if he has family ties to USC, otherwise that's a tough slot to steal from. Coach Lake has been pretty dominating in recruiting and developing that secondary. A truly elite unit in the Pac12. Outside of some history there, good luck stealing a kid off that unit.

I have no idea if he's got family ties to USC. USC has put more players in the NFL in the past five years and just as many DBs so I think USC has a good argument. The kids USC got the past two recruiting classes are some of the best DB prospects in years. Both schools are going to to be loaded there.

Steve Sarkisians players drafted in 1st 2nd round in 2014 2015 Six. Players drafted in Round 1 and 2 in 2016 2017 four. Both Pete and Saban had more in their 3rd and 4th years and won National Title in their 3rd year. Oh and Pete had two Heisman winners in his first four years. I miss Pete! lol

Looks like the Vegas bowl is going to want to move up the PAC bowl pecking order once it moves into the new stadium being built. Also plans to dump the MWC and add a P5 opponent, possibly even a SEC team.

Sounds good to me. Vegas would be a great destination for any fan base for a bowl game.

Yep. Would also be an easier sell to get a SEC slot as they consider anything west of Dallas to be Russia when it comes to travel for OOC style games. Big12 would also be a potential that would jump at this. A NFL quality facility with the ammenities of Vegas will make this potentially a Alamo bowl type of level bowl. Could jump even the holiday bowl in order and become one of the top non-BCS level bowls of the PAC season.
