Apparently your level of education is a low standard on history of schools . And your comment is pretty much elementary.

Still don't know what a Ute is.

But we seem to have an angry one here.

Pac-12 North breakdown: Skill position power ratings

By JON WILNER | [email protected] | Bay Area News Group
PUBLISHED: May 29, 2018 at 9:25 am | UPDATED: May 30, 2018 at 3:24 am

1. Stanford
QB: K.J. Costello
RBs: Bryce Love, Cameron Scarlett, Trevor Speights
WRs: JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Trenton Irwin, Connor Wedington
TE: Kaden Smith, Colby Parkinson
Comment: One of the top tailbacks in the country and proven playmakers at every position are the reason for Stanford’s placement atop the North rankings. And yes, we’ll count Costello in that list of playmakers; the redshirt sophomore threw nine touchdowns and just two interceptions in the pressurized finish against Notre Dame, USC and TCU. (He is expected to be healthy for training camp after missing spring practice with a hip injury.) Two rather significant questions for the Cardinal is 2018 are Love’s durability and his role, if any, in the passing game.

2. Washington
QB: Jake Browning
RBs: Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed
WRs: Chico McClatcher, Quinten Pounds, Aaron Fuller, Ty Jones, Andre Baccellia
TE: Drew Sample, Hunter Bryant
Comment: Would have slotted Browning and Co. ahead of Stanford but for the muddled situation at wideout. McClatcher (ankle) and Pounds (knee) are both coming off significant injuries, while the remaining options all must increase production in order for UW to offset the loss of Dante Pettis. Gaskin and Ahmed form the top tailback combination in the conference — Ahmed averaged 6.5 yards per carry in limited duty — and Bryant adds a playmaking option at tight end, assuming he’s fully recovered from the season-ending leg injury.

3. Oregon
QB: Justin Herbert
RBs: Tony Brooks-James, Darrian Felix, Taj Griffin
WRs: Dillon Mitchell, Johnny Johnson, Brenden Schooler, Tabari Hines, Jaylon Redd
TE: Jacob Breeland
Comment: Possessing the best quarterback in the conference only means so much when there are numerous questions elsewhere. Is Brooks-James ready for a starring role as he takes over for Royce Freeman? Is Mitchell a true No. 1 receiver? (His nine-catch performance in the Las Vegas Bowl would seem to indicate as much.) Will Hines, the graduate transfer from Wake Forest, make a sustained impact? Will Breeland increase his production? If the pieces all function as designed and Herbert remains healthy, the Ducks should contend in the North.

4. Cal
QB: Ross Bowers
RBs: Patrick Laird, Biaggio Ali-Walsh, Derrick Clark
WRs: Vic Wharton, Kanawai Noah, Demetris Robertson, Brandon Singleton
TE: Ray Hudson, Ian Bunting
Comment: Bowers seemingly solidified his hold on the starting job in the spring, but a backslide in training camp could create an opening for Brandon McIlwain, the South Carolina transfer. Laird was a revelation last season as a walk-on who rushed for 1,127 yards, but the Bears have no proven depth in the backfield. On the other hand, they’re well-stocked at receiver with Wharton and Noah, who combined for 123 catches last season. Robertson was injured in ’17 but add big-play speed to an offense in need of a greater deep-ball presence.

(Update: Melquise Stovall announced recently that he is leaving the program.)

5. Washington State
QB: Anthony Gordon, Trey Tinsley, Garner Minshew
RBs: James Williams, Max Borghi
WRs: Tay Martin, Renard Bell, Dezmon Patmon, Kyle Sweet, Jamire Calvin
Comment: We’re not about to guess the identity of the Week One starter but have enough faith in Mike Leach to assume the quarterback position will be productive in matters of yards and touchdowns. (The issue will be efficiency: completion percentage and interceptions). There’s no shortage of wideout options — the five players listed above combined for approximately 200 receptions last season — but depth in the backfield is a concern. Williams assumes the role of feature back without the steady Gerard Wicks and Jamal Morrow.

(Update: Robert Lewis, a veteran receiver with 100+ career catches, has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.)

6. Oregon State
QB: Jake Luton, Conor Blount, Jack Colletto
RBs: Artavis Pierce, BJ Baylor, Calvin Tyler
WRs: Isaiah Hodgins, Timmy Hernandez
TE: Noah Togiai
Comment: Difficult to justify slotting OSU anywhere else, but we won’t discount the potential for the Beavers to exceed expectations. The key is steady quarterback play from one of the three options, with Luton as the frontrunner and his spine apparently ready for full contact. Pierce assumes the role of featured back, replacing Ryan Nall, while the receivers have plenty to prove. (Hodgins, the top returnee, had just 31 receptions last year). The best playmaking option in the passing game might be Togiai, who had offseason ankle surgery but averaged 14 yards per catch.

Can someone explain why Scott gets paid so much just to turn around and screw the conference over? Their schedule blows, why the hell do these shitty networks who treat the conference worse than the MWC and Notre Dame get to dictate how the conference schedules. I wish I could get 4 million a year to have no balls when negotiating.

This is on the PAC school presidents who keep giving that worthless pos a raise. The PAC is becoming a conference of poors while Scott is the highest paid conference commissioner in the entire country.

The President's keep changing though. And almost all President's job is to stay out of athletics since most are highly educated which means they don't know shit about sports. They see revenue helps keep the athletic department healthy even though nearly every school is in the red and eventually will run out of money.

And anyone who thinks playing the Apple Cup in Pullman the afternoon after Thanksgiving really does deserve their life to be taken by inhumane ways.

Can't argue too much about this POV... QB play is obviously gonna be 'key' to the season for USC. Talent is there and the coaches will need to 'step it up' also.

We shall see...

Yep. I think they will need to lean on the defense and running game early. Hopefully, both will be up to the task.

I mean it makes some sense. Oregon and Canada are both full of lumberjacks or people who like to dress like them.
