2/2 Goalies
9/12 Forwards (10 if Sykora returns)

They should be at an advantage compared to teams with big changes. Need to be ready to roll as fast as humanly possible. A start like two years ago is a guaranteed playoff miss this season.

I do think that there will be a lot of activity at the deadline. A lot of teams will be in the hunt

This will be a 48 or 50 game, playoff type of sprint to make the playoffs. There will be no time for slumps. One long slump can cause elimination. I expect each game to be like a playoff game.
Yes, Devils lost Parise, but if you watch how DeBoer had our team play throughout the playoffs, rolling 4 lines, constant pressure and attack, I think this short season can favor this team.
If they can improve on the power play, pressure the other team's defense like they did most of the playoffs, get scoring to cover what Parise did, team should be in good shape.
Seeding will mean very little this upcoming post season. Goal is to just make it in.

I am poster formely known as Devils9parise.. now known at the the2000cup because it was my favorite season being that i was big A-line fan.. but on to my line-up

i know alot of people are calling for butler but to be honest i dont know much about him other than he is putting up some numbers in our ahl team.. i've always liked how tedenby played and i felt like he put up pretty ok numbers for still getting adjusted to american hockey and never really getting a fair shake.. even when he was in the nhl he was averaging like 9 minutes.. and i think i remember josefson teds and clarkson playing pretty well together at the end of the 2010-11 season.. i expect better offensive production from josefson this year.

i left mark fayne out because i've never been a fan of his.. i don't feel like he brings anything special to the table.. very mediocre
