I’d be surprise if the MLB don’t do anything about Angel Hernandez… he needs to be canned. He made one of the worst call during the Indians/Royals game this year.

MLB should use the majors/minors system for their umps the same way teams use them for calling up and sending down players. The better an ump performs, the higher level he umps. Umps that consistently blow big calls can stay in A ball.

Great season by the boys. Don’t want Seager to go anywhere. Nut up Jerry and talk to him, this year put him in the situation where it is no longer a rebuild. Re sign him, worst case scenario with Seager is he becomes a much improved Dylan Moore. The bullpen will be interesting, I know Munoz pitched, but essentially we got two stud arms coming back so no idea how it shakes out. Hard to think 2 nobodies can replicate their production. Toro showed signs of being great but didn’t leave anything to where you say he is a penciled in starter. Raleigh, I like the dude but catcher needs to be an upgrade. Need a DH and one OF. Plus obviously needing to somehow not have Kikuchi back and go after an ace. Maybe have him pick up his option and trade up deal him to the Dodgers for Bauer.

I preach that at home all the time. They have a company that rates umpires every game. Use it for rankings and sending umps up and down if need be. A billion dollar sport officiated by some 10 cent idiots.

"For his part, Seager told Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times he hasn’t heard from the front office about the status of his option. In something of an eyebrow-raising comment, the veteran third baseman added he hasn’t spoken with president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto “in years, probably four years. We don’t communicate at all. Not even passing by in the hall. If he spoke to my agent or anything like that, I haven’t heard anything.”

This is odd. Why would a GM not even know his own players?

In terms of teams who could entertain a deal for Hosmer, here’s a list of 10 (some with an eye on added prospect return and/or 2022).

  • San Francisco Giants
  • Milwaukee Brewers
  • Kansas City Royals
  • Washington Nationals
  • Minnesota Twins

  • Seattle Mariners

  • Boston Red S
  • Detroit Tiger
  • Arizona Diamondbacks
  • Cleveland Indians/Guardians
why...if seager is gone..the mariners could use another LH bat ...to what the mariners..are used to..a 269 bat ave is better than seager.s..
thing is he only hit .1.2 hrs.this year..that is ...poor..for a guy like him.....

but what would the trade be..and it could not be white or france....cuz....... hosmer could end up the DH....

i dont think the mariners will go for this but..ya never know with some tricky finaceing....but the only player i could think of to trade...would be...marte,ss.....+=valueto hosmer...but the 20 mil..then 13 m..13 mil 13 mil..i think the mariners could take on the contract ...cuz after this year..
it is only 13 mil...and he may even be tradable at that price..........

but see in the next exciting episode..of...

The problem is always going to be their union and the MLBPA can’t take a hard stance against them. It is a reason replay in baseball is so dumb because umpires in baseball aren’t like football when it comes to over turning stuff. And it isn’t like football where there is a huge compensation for getting good grades and umping the World Series like there is for the Super Bowl.

Because when Jerry decided to tear down the organization Seager was the one contact he couldn’t move and I think it ate at Jerry.
