it was not debunked--- many just chalked it up as "no big deal".

It was debunked because it was shown not to be the defiance that the article tried to paint it as.

As @DJ pointed out. It's not really different from a QB calling an audible. He just needs to be right.

Fortunately for Lebron, he's the best player in the world, so he can make it right even when it isn't. lol

Its always a case of "The inmates running the asylum" when James is involved. No coach worth his salt would take a job where James was on the team.

Of course LeBron is in charge.

Luke Walton is solid and all as a coach, but he entered the league same year as LeBron. Walton probably knows more about coaching, but what are the odds that he knows as much about basketball as LeBron does?

LeBron will only fully respect a coach that he handpicks or an established legend like Pop, K, etc. Walton never had a chance here. And honestly, I totally get it from LBJ's point of view.

"The scouts also have noticed that when James is running the point, he rarely looks toward the bench to receive playcalls from coach Luke Walton. Even when he has seen them, the scouts say, he ignores them and runs the play he prefers. Walton has adjusted, and now when James is running the show, Walton will typically just let him call the game. This probably shouldn’t be considered a slight -- it’s just James being James."

it was CONFIRMED that he was ignoring Walton- but it was chalked up as no big deal by some.

No one in their right mind could possibly say that LeBron has not demonstrably flat out ignored Walton's play calling.

Walton was like 34-4 when Kerr went down

Funny it's only a problem with lebron. It's not the coach it's the players...

I've watched every game and he hasn't.

As I posted above. It's nothing more than a QB calling an audible and not anything like the article tried to claim.

But Luke is a proven winner!!!

Not just anyone could've won those games while Kerr was out. Wait, nope, nevermind.

I think Bron could be a player/coach.

Don't see why not. I want to see it, I know that.

To me it shows the coach is irrelevant. So it sounds like they are looking for a scape goat.

Seriously though.

He has the experience to do it. There are only a very small number of coaches who will command his full respect. Best case for anybody they bring in is an equal partnership.

It was debunked on here when it was reported like 3 weeks ago. Do your own search.
I did and produced this thread. You didn't and now look silly.

That same shit was said 3 weeks ago and was shot down then too.

:L

Yeah, and the Lakers (and the rest of the League) don't have the same players GS had when Walton was coaching them.

I don't know about irrelevant, but who the hell thinks they need to tell Bron what to do on a basketball court?

And why is this a story right now? I was watching the last time LBJ played, which was Christmas.

My point is it comes down to the players. Go ahead and fire Walton, it won't make a difference
