I keep refreshing my twitter page hoping to see who releases first that the signing is official but so far nothing this morning. I do know Von Miller is going to Salt Lake City later today so if they are doing this signing in person then has to happen in the next couple of hours I would think. If they are doing it by Fax then they better get things going right now!

On a funny note Dumervil actually tweeted something about making sure there is enough ink toner in the fax machine and a good connection. At least he can laugh about that whole situation now.

Glad it is finally done! Waiting to see the complete final numbers but looks like the Broncos and Von Miller are tied to the hip for at least 3 years and really more likely 4 years.

Well the early numbers for the Cap Hit kind of surprise me if true.

Year 1: $5.83 Million cap hit
Year 2: $20.83 million cap hit
Year 3: $22.33 million cap hit
Year 4: $21.33 million cap hit
Year 5: $21.83 million cap hit
Year 6: $21.83 million cap hit

I figured they would at least keep his first year cap hit where the Franchise Tag is. Then again any money not spent this year carries over to next year to help out with the cap so whether it is this season or next it doesn't really matter. This just gives us a bit more freedom this year to maybe get a deal done with Sanders if that is what we want to do.

Year 2: $19.83 million
Year 3: $21.33 million
Year 4: $20.33 million
Year 5: $20.83 million
Year 6: $20.83 million

Couple interesting notes from Peter Schaefer local Super Agent

He heard in his circles

The exact contract Von had signed was on the table for a week.

The exact contract DT signed last year was on the table for 2 months.

That is crazy if true on DT. I do know the Von contract offer being the one from last weekend has been widely reported so I"m guessing it is true. The DT narrative though just shows the Broncos do offer fair contracts and that sometimes in these negotiations it is not the team playing hardball that makes it last this long but the player and his agent. And in reality it ended up hurting DT quite a bit missing the OTA's and Mini Camp with us trying to put in our new offensive system and get used to the coaching staff.

Thankfully for Von everything he is returning to is exactly the same as last year. Shouldn't be quite the transition for him.

Von Miller has totaled 60 sacks in his first five seasons in the NFL which ranks him 6th all-time during the span. Reggie White(81), J.J. Watt(74.5), Derrick Thomas (66),DeMarcus Ware 64.5, and Richard Dent (61.5) only have more. This includes Miller's injury/suspension season as well.

Von Miller has played a total of 72 total games in his NFL career and averages 0.83 sacks per game. That ranks him 3rd all time behind J.J. Watt(0.93 sacks per game) and Reggie White(0.85 sacks per game).

I heard about that. Crazy. I understand where they are coming from but come on can't ask a player to do that.
