No. No one is 2012 Quick.. No one said he is. Maybe you can stop with the nonobjective hyperbole once in a while?

Like it or not, he was screened on both the goals in the 3rd.. the 2nd especially egregious because Voynov failed to clear the front of the net, effectively creating a 2 man screen.

Maybe you should uncover yours.

Quick is an outstanding goalie, but he's no Henrik Lundqvist.

That being said, I'd love to have Quick. His only problem is he's highly aggressive

That being said, I'd love to have Quick. His only problem is he's highly aggressive

He was solid...there were 2 to 3 saves that he made this game that I doubt any other goalie in the league would have stopped. The only somewhat bad one was the Smith goal, and even on that one, he played it really well, Smith was just able to tuck it in behind him. 9 times out of 10, that doesn't go in.

After the game, CBC showed it but they showed it real quick because they only had 30 sec of coverage remaining. It showed a Hawks player coming off (he was still on the ice in front of the bench), and the player who came on for him (not sure who it was, left handed player) received a pass about 5 feet off the bench. 20 sec later, the Hawks scored. They asked Adam Oates (who was on the panel) if it should have been called a penalty and of course he said yes. Six guys on ice, the player coming on can never touch the puck. It's not even a judgement call. We shoulda had a power play, playing for the win.

Again Pete.. no one is saying it's ALL the defenses fault, but it seems that every goal that Quick allows according to you is a softie that is his fault. And as we all know, the Conn Smythe is for the playoff MVP. It's an individual award. It's ludicrous to try to use that as any sort of example.You expect Quick to emulate the 2012 playoff run? No goaltender could. Quick was unconscious that run, and the Kings also had a younger Greene, Mitchell, and Scuderi wreaking havoc in front of him in the crease each series.
